Poor little Paige. It is so hard to watch them when they hurt.

My 6 year old, Brandon, is being tested because he's just not doing
well in his work in school. He is already in kindergarten for the second time. I don't know if he has any learning disabilities, but for 3 of his 6 years, his Mom was in and out of hospitals and in bed. I think he's depressed. I'm glad they're testing him - if there is anything gong on, they'll catch it early. He's just so unhappy in school and doesn't want to go. He thinks he's "different." We're all spoiling him, but ....

My 10 year old, Mackenzie, has a tough time making friends, although she's doing pretty well in her new school. She's the "new girl," and has already made a lot of friends. She has a self esteem problem - I think she also is suffering from the 3 years of my daughter's illness.

My little 5 year old, Kassidy is just fine. She's such a survivor! I always called her my little delight. Of course, she could care less what any of the others have to say.

They will all grow up just fine, God willing. I'll just have a lot more gray hairs. Thank goodness for blond hair dye.
