It makes my hair stand on end when I go shopping and someone in the store has a screaming child who is obviously past nap time and not handling it well. I rarely took my kids shopping with me until they were old enough to enjoy it... and sincerely wish others would do the same. I end up feeling sorry for the kid and less than pleased with the parent. Anyone who's raised kids knows that tired cry... it's distinctly different from the "gimme" scream. lol
