Obama (I'm so confused.)

I believe there is some truth to it. I posted a link to an interview on O'reilly that was VERY interesting.

Why on earth wouldn't he wear a flag pin?? He is running for PRESIDENT for crying out loud. He didn't start to wear it until he started catching a bunch of crap for it. That is really sad!

We know, also, what is the thing with the flag? We have got William Ayers standing on a crumpled American flag. We've got Barack Obama running for president saying he doesn't want to wear a flag pin because that's displaying patriotism.


As for Obama clearly explaining what he is for well in my opinion he hasn't done that. He keeps screaming "change". I shouldn't have to go out and purchase a book to see what he stands for.

I've been on the 'puter' all morning researching various emails that I've seen and things I have heard and to be honest with all of you, a lot of lies are being spread about him.
Check out WWW.Snopes.com and enter his name and you'll see for yourself. I'm going to do more research, but I'm beginning to believe that he may be the best choice. JMO
I'm gonna pick up his book today.

I don't doubt that there are lies floating around about him. However, there is also a lot that is true and that can't be denied. Either way you have to vote for who you believe in. Safe to say I don't believe in him at all!

Ladies, I know we all have some important decisions to make, and open discussion is what this forum is all about. I think you all know that I have particularly strong views on some very controversial subjects, and enjoy discussing them. However, for the sake of harmony on 4WT, I for one am willing to suspend discussion of political topics until Christmas if need be. We have a really amazing group here, and want us all to remain close friends. I know, I've started some of the political threads, so if you wish to point this out, I'm guilty as charged. Is suspension of this topic one thing we can all agree on?? BTW, a kind PM by an awesome lady inspired this post. I can't take credit for this wonderful idea.

I also want to say that I think it is much better for us to handle this than having Admin put restrictions on our conversations as has occurred in other forums. I'm sure you will agree with this.

It has my vote!! I'm always so afraid controversial topics will get out of hand and I would hate that for 4WT. So to whoever PM'd you...GREAT IDEA!!!

Seriously, thanks Marilyn. I think that's a great idea. I don't think anyone came on too strong, but I agree that we should probably suspend political discussions.
I put some references to articles on another thread. I also hope nobody got offended.

We all pretty much know who we are all voting for, and we still love each other.
That's one of the things I love best about being an American. We are blessed with

Michelle, I posted this once before, but my post is not showing up. Please don't stop posting. We enjoy interacting with you. Some of us are just concerned that we may get carried away and cause some hurt feelings. No feathers ruffled here either by the way. I enjoy a good political debate and have some strong views on some controvercial religious and political subjects, and given the opportunity, I will voice my views and try to convince you to agree with me.

We just want to keep things friendly on 4WT and take action before feelings do get hurt. We want to maintain our free speach on here and not have Admin step in and put restrictions on us as has occurred on other sites. We care very much about you and hope you will stay with us!!!

Everyone, I meant no harm in this thread. I only wanted to show how I raised my Daughters to have a mind of their own. I'm proud of the fact that they are not afraid to tell me what they believe in and that they share their views with me.
If you read the OP you'll see that this is an E-mail that I received, not my beliefs.
