Too much HEAT!

I can't stand how hot it is! Who would have thought our hottest days would happen in August? Last night I had two fans on in my room and I could barely get to sleep. Right now it's 34 degrees, 37 with the humidity. That's 102 degrees F. And I'm not one of those lucky people with an air conditioned house either I had the windows open last night to try to cool the house down and I completely forgot to close them before coming to work this morning. I have a feeling it's going to be another miserably sweaty night!

Aw Lindsey, I feel for ya girl. Usually in Indiana, August is really hot with high humidity. If you're leaving your windows open, just be sure no one can break in.

If anyone ever finds the place on earth with a happy medium, please let me know so I can move there. Right now it's 62 degrees and I'm freezing! I had to put some windows down.....I shouldn't complain because our weather has been beautiful, cool in the mornings and warm throughout the day. But right now, my teeth are chattering!

Lindsey I sympathize for you. I remember growing up with no air conditioners and man it was hot. I use to walk the floors at night. The fans did nothing.. So I feel for you.

Lindsey why can't you put in a small portable unit in your window in room? They are inexpensive and energy effecient.

Well I hope it cools down for you soon. Hey Teri stop complaining it is delicious to sleep with the windows slighty opened feel the fresh cool air.. Even though I end up shutting because of the dam crickets and those other critters that make noise all night long...lol Enjoy the winter is right around the corner...

I never thought of getting a window unit, I guess I always just try to live with it because it only gets hot enough for air conditioning maybe 2 or 3 months of the year here
Last night I went into the backyard and turned the sprinkler on for Layla. She ran around for about an hour and she enjoyed the cool water. I feel bad for her being in my sweltering house while I'm in a nice air conditioned office all day! By this weekend it is supposed to cool down to a normal temperature again.
Just wait until January and I'll be complaining about the complete opposite I can't stand when it gets to -40 or -50 and you can't be outside for 10 minutes without getting frostbite!

July and August are usually our hottest months too. The first half of this month was so nice... never reached 90. So far the second half has been nothing but 90+ and I have the window A/C going full time.

Teri, I'm with you. I want beautiful warm weather...oh let's say between 73 and 78 with just a tad cooler evenings with no humidity. Okay...I'm really sounding picky here aren't I???..LOL

We've been having a lot of rain. We really need for the sun to come out and for some of that hot weather to be here for our crops. I'm really, really worried about an early frost with all of this cool weather. All of the farmers here got their crops in so late because of all of the rain.

Lindsey, take a nice cool shower right before going to bed and if you get hot in the night get up and take another. That should help you.

We have had a very mild August! So far it has only been in the mid 80's.TO be honest you can actually tell that fall is coming. I think that we will have a colder winter than we ususally do too. I think fall will definately be coming soon this year! I can't wait to be honest. That is my favorite time of the year!

We need rain here too. In June we recorded over 8 inches, in July over 6 inches and now in August..so far..less than 2 inches. They did get the corn in at the right time it seems. I've never seen such tall corn. Need to get some rain in though before too much longer.

It has gone from one extreme to the other here. Overnight it was 9 degrees C (48.2 F) and we only hit 14 degrees today (57.2 F). I had a jacket on and the heat was on in my car. I've just been shivering all day!

I heard a flock of canadian geese fly over earlier... it's way too early in the season for that! I'm hoping they were just making a practice run.

Oh my gosh, come to think of it I haven't seen ANY canadian geese around. I hope they haven't all left already! I really wish winter didn't come until mid-November, and then it could leave right after new years

July is usually our hottest month - it generally starts to cool off in late August. I'm really looking forward to the fall. Sweatshirt weather is my favorite time of year.
