I raised a little superstar!
Okay so if you remember, a couple of months ago, Layla was in a pet calendar contest in the biggest newspaper in the province, and she won. I assumed that they'd use the picture I submitted and that was it. I just got a phone call from the newspaper saying they are going to send a PHOTOGRAPHER to my house next week to take professional pictures of her for the large calendar picture, and then somewhere in the bottom they'll show the picture I submitted that won! Now I need to try to get a grooming appointment before the photo shoot lol. Awww I'm proud of my little superstar

Oh WOW Lindsey...how exciting. Professional pictures!! You must be so proud and happy. You know we'll ask for posts of the pictures right? I hope you have a great groomer. I would hate to have them give her a bad grooming right before the picture. I would stay and make sure they do a great job for your little Layla!!! I would be so excited!!

I'm lucky that I finally found a great groomer here
 The picture I submitted actually was one I took of her right after getting her home from grooming. She hasn't been groomed again since then, so she's going to look a little different this time. I want her coat a little longer for the fall and winter, and I love how soft and fluffy it is now. I think I'm going to just get them to clean up her face and ears and feet a bit and then hopefully it'll look good  Here's the picture I submitted, and then two pictures of her a couple of weeks ago when she got her gift exchange gift from YT

No wonder she won Lindsey. That picture makes her look like a star...so soft, so sweet and just adorable.

I'm getting more and more excited for Friday
A coworker just came up to me and was like "No way... a real photoshoot?" lol so I told her the story and she said "What a little superstar... now you're going to turn into the crazy mom-ager and book her all these things and the fame will go to her head and she'll be on drugs..." lolShe's at the groomer right now getitng her hair done I'm lucky I was able to get her in this week!

They do need dogs for commercials and now she'll have a portfolio...get busy girl..get that baby to working...lol

Yeah it's about time she starts buying her own food and toys.. she's almost 21 in dog years!! Time to start looking for a job

I was surprised too! I wasn't expecting to get this much out of it after paying my $15 fee to put her in the contest! A photoshoot, calendar, and therefore famous dog for just $15!
