Death
If you were told you only had 2 months to live what would you do?
I would write a letter or do a video for my kids to let them know how much I loved them and what they meant to me. Then I would try and have as much fun with my family as I could. To give them something fun to remember me by.

I've always thought of doing a video. That way they could see my facial expressions and know exactly what I was saying. Too much is lost in writing and can easily be misunderstood.

I don't have any children yet, but I would sit down and write a long heart-felt letter to everyone in my family and all of my dearest friends. I would surround myself with the people I love the most. I would make preparations for my "funeral," which I don't want to be sad at all. I want it to be happy! The day I die will be a happy time when I am finally reunited with my maker. There should be a party for such a joyous occassion.

Most funerals here are done in two days. One visitation in the afternoon and one in the evening or just one that is late afternoon into early evening. Then the next day is the burial. I want mine to all be done in one day so everyone can get on with their lives. I don't want them going through all that visitation and being so sad.

I would probably do exactly as my dad did when he learned his illness was terminal - nothing different. He didn't want sympathy or "poor pitiful me" looks, he wanted his life, and what he had left to live of it, to be treated the same as he'd always been treated. The one and only thing I would do would be to make a seperate video for each of my boys and one for my hubby - the rest of my family, I'd probably write them letters but that would be the only difference. There's no place special I would want to go - I'm already there, with my family and friends So, for me, I would just continue on with as normal a life as I could.

I'd visit those close to me and then do a video for my children. I'd also write letters to my closest loved ones.

I probably do the videos for my kids & G-Kids. I would want to tell then to live life to the fullest & I don't want them moping around all sad. If I look down & see them sad I would tell them I'm going to hit them in the back of the head. Then I would probably sell every thing I owned & travel w/ family. I would want to rid myself of material things. I'm with Janet, I would do a one day funeral also.
