Christmas present help
I know this is way early, but I like to get a jump so I don't have to be in the malls after thanksgiving I can't stand the crowds. I need a present for parents that have everything. They just built a new house & had it fully decorated by an interior designer so they don't really need knick knacks. I was thinking something gadgety, but I don't know what or where to look. We usually spend around $150 on them. Does anyone know of any good websites for cool gadgets or have any neat ideas?

I've been telling my children to give us new pictures each year and it's working well. My son gave us one of the electric photo frames (I think that's what it's called.) and we love it. Then, you can update the card with new pictures from time to time.

Where do they like to shop when they shop? You could get them a gift certificate
from the store that they like to go to the most. I know thats not the most personable thing. I'm not up on shopping online. At least not yet anyway.

Not sure...I personally like the gift certificate idea. I'd rather go and get what I would like. Since they don't really need anything for the house, how about a gift certificate for their favorite restaurant. Maybe a photography sitting for themselves or the whole family. How about paying for their cable or newspapers, etc.....for a year.

Skymall is cool...thanks.
I'm now thinking about getting them tickets to see manaheim steamroller. They are coming to the area Nov. 21 & my parents really like them. |

I was going to say a gift certificate to a spa or to their favorite restaurant. I have a lot of points on my credit card that I'm going to convert into gift certificates and that's what my older kids are getting for Christmas.

My mom told me last night that my dad wants a portable XM player. They already have a subscription to XM for their house & they would just have to add the player on. This kind of present is right up our alley, so it's probably what we'll get. We also went over there & played pool last night & they are in desperate need of better pool cues. I'm going to suggest that to my brother & his wife. |
