My husband cannot.....

ride a bicycle!!!

He's been trying to get more exercise, so he decided to try to ride - my daughter's pink bike - in the neighborhood to see if he could manage it (breathing-wise) and if he liked it (before he went out and bought a bike). He rode on Saturday and did pretty good. So, this evening he went out with the neighbor guy - yes, on the PINK GIRLS bike and promptly had a wreck about 3 blocks from the house. I went over there in the pickup to bring the bike home and there he was laying in someone's yard (thankfully, not on the asphalt!).

I looked down at him and he said, "Don't you dare laugh". LOL! He landed on his left shoulder area. I asked if he wanted me to take him to the ER, but no of course not! So, he's sitting in the chair with an ice pack to the injured area. There are no scrapes or obvious bruising - so I guess he'll be OK, or he'll let me take him to the ER later, if he is not. We'll see.

Men!

Poor guy....and had to wreck on a pink bicycle...what humilation AND with a friend. I'm glad he's okay and hope there is no soreness in the days to come. Maybe you can get him some training wheels.

Yes, Janet, all the humiliation and no fun at all! LOL!! He called our daughter to tell her he needed training wheels. LOL! Can you just see him laying on the side of the road with a pink bicycle at his side - it was a sight to behold! LOL! I don't know why I didn't pull out my phone and take a pic. Well, I know why I didn't - I was a bit concerned that he might be really hurt.

But he isn't! He's fine this morning. His shoulder is sore, but he got up and went to breakfast with me and was his usual cheerful self. So, I know he's OK! I'm still laughing though!

I'm glad he's okay Gayle, but now I have a really funny picture of him in my mind. LOL! Hope his ego recovers as quickly as his arm.

(And it made me smile to think of you taking such good care of him!)

Maybe he needs to invest in an adult tricycle! I tried to ride a bike a couple of years ago..it wasn't as easy as I remembered I'm glad he's ok!

Yes Betsi - he DEFINITELY needs an adult tricycle!

He decided to walk today - no biking. I think he may try it again, not sure though! LOL!

Don't you laugh at him!!! I love that he is secure enough to not worry so much about riding a pink bike until he is sure he likes it!!!

He is a brave, brave man. (But a picture would still have been great Gayle)

I'm glad he is okay.
