That's a great idea Sandy. The thing you need to plan for is that the treadmill is boring. So, you need to place it where you can see the TV, or you need a radio to listen to - or books on tape/CD is a great way to pass the time on the treadmill. It's a great way to get good exercise, especially as we get older. I say "go for it!" You might also look on Craigslist or something like that. People are always selling treadmills as they get tired of them and don't use them if they don't plan to counteract the boredom.
