It sounds like Scott did a good job with his surprise!! Having fondue sounds really good. I've never heard of a restaurant like that!! Fondue was really popular around the time that I got married and then you never heard of it again until lately. It is good!!!

Yeah it was really a neat experience... There were only 5 tables in the whole place so I think it's reservation-only all the time. The only part that bothered me a bit was the meat because I'm very picky about germs and I need my meat cooked right through. It would have been different if we did hot oil fondue but we did hot rocks instead, so when they cooled down, you were done cooking! Luckily the chicken cooked quickly, but the first piece of beef I chewed into squirted juice in my mouth and that was enough for me!
The raw meat cubes were served with cooked potatoes and raw vegetables in separated little areas of a dish. It's the same dish we ate off of. I know they were separated in compartments, but it diminished my appetite a bit when my cooked food was right beside a little compartment with raw chicken juices However, I would definitely go back just for the dessert!
