Marital Status- In a relationship (2.5 years!)... We're talking about getting married.

Pets- None of my own, but I will have some soon!
Occupation- Full-time student. I'm not working this semester. I'm concentrating on school instead. I'll be getting a job in the next 6 - 8 months
Fav Food- Spaghetti! Well, really, noodles with butter and garlic. I love pretty much any pasta. I'm a fanatic.
Fav Restaurant- Oooh, that's tough. I'd have to say either Stir Fry or Johnny Brusco's... Ooh, or Suba's. Hmmmm....
Fav Vacation Spot- Chicago. Any time of year. I love it. I hate flying through Chicago, though... I always seem to get stuck. But as long as its my destination, I adore it.
Something interesting about you- Hmmm... I just got interested in photography and am really enjoying learning about it. I'm a computer science major in college, and I love proving to the boys that I can do things just as well (sometimes better!) than they can. I'm incredibly competitive, and sometimes that's a big weakness. And I just fell in love with the color pink. I've hated it all my life, and all of a sudden, I can't get enough.
What would you do if I gave you $1000 right now? I would probably just stick it in a bank. Go enjoy a nice dinner somewhere and then stick it in the bank. I'm working on saving up money to move from California back to Tennessee.

I wish you would tell my kids that I have a good memory, LOL!!! I will take some new pics of Layni and post them soon. She just turned 5 months old. That's her in my avatar.

Hi Cindy! It is good to have you on here - we hope you check in everyday - this is a wonderful group of women. I notice Diana "introduced" herself above and i think that is a good idea, so that the newcomers can get to know us "old timers"

I'm 57 (soon to be 58). I've been married to my wonderful husband for 27 years. Unfortunately, he is disabled due to heart/lung disease and he has diabetes, among other chronic illnesses. It is a good thing that he is married to a nurse! I teach nursing at our local University. I love my profession, I can't imagine doing anything else!

I have one daughter who is married and lives about 10 minutes from me. I have two beautiful granddaughters who are the lights of my life!!! One is 12 and the other is 2 - nope, their mom and dad did not get divorced and remarried, they just got a wild hair to have another baby, 10 years after the first one!

I have two yorkies, Rowdy (4 years old) and Rex (3 years old). They are such great guys and keep my husband company all day, everyday while I'm gone to work!

I love to garden and have a tiny little square foot garden (3 feet X 12 feet) in my back yard. This summer I grew tomatoes (coming out of my ears - so many), strawberries, peppers, eggplant (didn't really do too hot) summer squash and herbs. Right now I have fall tomatoes that are looking good, should produce in October (in central Texas our growing season is loooong), peppers, and winter squash - oh and I still have sage, bay leaves, and oregano going strong.

Welcome, Cindy!!! You'll find several women right around your age on here and we have a great time. Just check out some of our posts!! We have some really wonderful and friendly women on here. Don't be afraid to join in our chatter, as I said, we're friendly!! You'll also find that there are a lot of us on here that own yorkies. I'm pretty sure that it has to do with us being a sister site to YT. Oh, and we do talk about our dogs.....and grandchildren.......children.......husbands....... .and anything else that we want to.

I did get on the page to chage my fonts and the colors, but I went to add an album a box came up for backround I have no clue what to put in here. it say no BB allowed nothing to click to upload.

I elieve that your question about background has to do with the background page in your Profile page. It has to do with setting up your profile page with color. You can check out my profile page. The stripes are my background.
