THank you! It was on the 4th of July, the same as my DH and I. I have now informed my Graddaughter that she has to get married on the 4th of July too! (she says she is never getting married)

The wedding pictures from both of you are absolutely beautiful! Amber, you'd never know by the pictures that anything was wrong with the dress. It was one of those live and learn lessons that one day you'll look back and laugh about but at the moment wasn't so funny.

Okay, song choices...
For our introduction: Queen - Another One Bites the Dust or ACDC - You Shook Me All Night Long (finace' wants to do a spoof of this Soulja Boy song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-2Wh...eature=related ) First Dance: Rascal Flatts - My Wish http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xz32I_GbpeU Mother Son Dance: Celine Dion - Because You Loved Me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nb107xDrlwQ Father Daughter Dance: Heartland - I Loved Her First http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myO2e5Td3bg Garter song: Fever - Peggy Lee http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGb5IweiYG8 Still thinking about that Introduction song. First dance was picked out by the groom without even knowing it lol. While we were on vacation at Foxwoods Casino, he kept getting my attention every time a song came on but with the slot machines, it was tough to hear. Well, I searched cause all I remember was "My wish for you...", listened to it, and said "That's it." lol Mother son, I picked out, and told her she said she loved that song and Celine Dion. I let her know it was seriously okay if she had a different song in mind when she thought of him. She assured me she thought it was the perfect choice... Father daughter, my mother actually told me she and my dad had recently heard and agreed they liked. I hadn't heard it, so I listened to it. No brainer lol thank god for the easy things... You have to watch this video, it is amazing! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMtm1M8Q9tI Last edited by pope1982; 03-17-2008 at 06:40 PM. |

I actually really love Queen - Don't Stop Me Now for an introduction song too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58CJi...eature=related
One of my favorite Queen songs, don't know why I didn't think of it earlier... |

My DH & I's first dance song was "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison, for 3 reasons.
1. I have brown eyes 2. My husband isn't at all romantic & the only romantic thing he ever said was during this song, he turned to me & said you're my brown eyed girl 3. I always get the lyrics to songs wrong & where it says you're my brown eyed girl; I always thought it said you married a brown eyed girl. |

That thing has been making me cry every time I even attempt to listen to it lol but, the old man likes it so I guess I will have to keep checking my water proof mascara I had no idea I would get this emotional about that...
But it's true, I am not going to have daddy's last name anymore among other things What will I do with all my pope1982 screen names?!?!? lol |

All of the pictures are just lovely. You young ladies are so lucky to have all the choices now for your weddings. Back in the dark ages when I got married, most were very traditional church weddings. Now....the sky is the limit.
For those getting married you have my best wishes.
