I miss my kids!
My kids have been in Houston for 2 weeks now and I miss seeing them whenever I want. I have NEVER not been able to pop over to their house (expect when gone on vacation). Sigh. We will be going to see them May 6th. It seems like it is taking forever to get here. When I was talking on the phone to my daughter today, my 4 year old granddaughter said, "Where is Mimi (me)"? She doesn't understand that I am 4 hours away now. Sigh.

Oh Gayle, my heart just breaks for you! When you are used to seeing them all the time, it's awful to be without them. Skype is great, but nothing replaces those little arms around your neck! I know you miss your daughter, too.

Thanks Betsi! I hate to complain because at least I will get to see mine every month or so, unlike you who haven't seen yours for a year. It is hard though, when I have seen the every day (if I wanted). It'll be OK.
I'm so excited for you though - to have your kids with you all summer. You will have so much fun!

Gayle, sorry you are feeling so down about your kids, hopefully the time will go fast and you will be there with them in your arms again.
My oldest daughter has warned me that if i ever move i have to move her also because she just wouldn't make it with me living so far away. Betsi, I am so happy for you that your kids are home safe and sound, i know you will enjoy your time with them.

Thanks so much! Michael called me at 12:45 this morning. They were in Dallas, on their way to Rachel's parents house. They should be here about Tuesday

Aw Gayle....I know that has to be hard. Your visits will be extra special though.
Betsi...I'm so glad you'll be seeing yours soon. I bet it will be a great reunion!

And I like sending mine to my moms
No but I'm sorry your sadden by this. I know it's hard. Why don't you and them put the program were you can talk to each other over the internet while actually seeing each other. I used to have that when I was dating someone in a long distance relationship. It's not the same as being there in person but it does help. All you need is a web cam. |

Skype, yep I have it and we talk some and it is great. I really do hate to complain because with technology, you are so much closer than when I moved my family and daughter 500 miles away from my mom. We only talked on the phone a couple of times a week and couldn't talk very long becasue it was expensive. I instant message with my 14 year old granddaughter too. I still miss (as some said) those little arms around my neck!

I know exactly how you feel Gayle! But I am going to go and spend Easter with my kids and the grandbabies!! I'm so excited! It's hard when you live apart from them.

It is so hard Gayle! I am glad you can see them once a month at least, but the little arms around your neck is needed more often than that!
Betsi, your kids coming is wonderful!!! I know you have missed them terribly. Now, you will have time with them, and you will enjoy it all the more. Pictures, pictures and more pictures please!

Gayle, that's pretty cool that you can text your granddaughter!!! It's nice to have a simple way of keeping in touch!!!
Betsi, I know that you're just thrilled that your kids and grandkids are coming home!!! We will need some pictures!!! I would just hate to have any of mine move very far away. I'm so spoiled by having them so close to me. Actually Jaci and Nate are just too far and they're only 12 miles!!!! I know......I know.....I have NOTHING to complain about!!!! |
