Can anyone recommend any good books?

I'm a very big leisure reader due to the fact that I travel on the subway for an hour everyday.

I would like to recommend:

My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

Maybe a Miracle (blue cover)

I could not put these 2 books down. I have alot more sugestion if anyone else wants a good read.

Does anyone have any they can suggest>

Thanks!

Do you like ficton or non ficton, Romance or Suspence?
Nicholas Sparks all of his books are good if you like romance.
That's about all I read is Romance. Fern Michaels is a good author too.

My all-time favorite book is East of Eden by John Steinbeck. He is such a talented writer. He really knows how to develop his characters and the storyline is like a soap opera!

I usually read just about anything, but I always enjoy the books on Oprah's Book Club. I don't think I've been disappointed in any of them. They are all so different which gives a great variety!

Janet, which are your favorites from Oprah's Book Club? Have you read Night? Did you read East of Eden?

No, I haven't read either of them. I do try to ask for books for Christmas, but I forgot this year. Not too late, so maybe I'll add them.

The books I've enjoyed from Oprah's Book Club are:

Jewel by Brett Lott
A Map of the World by Jane Hamilton
Vinegar Hill by A. Manette Ansay
The Deep End of the Ocean by Jacquelyn Mitchard
and
Gap Creek by Robert Morgan

They are all really good. Been a little while since I've read them, but I kept them they were so good in case I wanted to read them again.

here's one!

Marley and Me was fantastic..true story about a guy who owns a yellow lab...such funny crazy stories all in one book!!!

Also Hope riseing is a book about a horse farm where they take injured and abused horses and injured and abused children and put them together to heal... heart warming and true!

Chewy recamends it too as a good bed time story!

It looks to me like Marley and me must have been a little boring by the looks of Chewy!!!!! Just kidding!!

I like to read Christian Fiction and Lori Wick is my favorite author. Sophie's Heart is my favorite that she wrote. Karen Kingsbury is another good author. If you like emotional books then Ocean's Apart is good reading.
