I could use your good thoughts today....
I am taking my yorkie in to get spayed today. she is 6 months old, 5 lbs. I am very nervous and will be on edge until she comes home to me.
I have been reassured everything will be fine but this is my little girl and I can't bare to think of them doing surgery on her. it is just so sad. I remember when my daughter (4 years old at the time) had surgery. I remember crying as they wheeled her away and waiting on pins until they came to tell me everything was ok. I love maggie like she is my daughter so I am sure I will be the same way with her

It can be quite nerve wrecking for sure. I was the same when my little Joey had his teeth cleaned. I'm a little nervous today too, I take the puppies in for their first shots. I pray they don't have any kind of reaction to it.
I'll keep your baby in my prayers too. I'm sure she'll be fine.

Awwww Toodles, keeping Maggie in my thoughts & prayers. It is harder on us, then what it is on them, and to see them so pitiful is heartbreaking. She will be fine girl, everything is going to be ok!
Janet, will be thinking of you and the puppies too, i hope they wont have reaction to the shots!

Toodles:
Here's hoping she does well and recovers quickly! Janet: My fingers are crossed for your little ones today too. I'm so used to bigger breeds that it never used to occur to me how much different things can be for the little ones. I've learned a lot just being with you Yorkie owners.

I just called the vet....
Maggie just came out of surgery and they said everything went GREAT and her vitals are all perfect. She has not woken up yet and they said to call in another hour or so and they should have taken her out for a potty break by then. They said that everything is great. PRAISE GOD!!!!!! I have tears in my eyes right now I am so happy and so relieved. Now...as long as tonight goes good, I will be a happy mommy

maggie is home
she is doing great. she really wants to play with the other dogs but I am keeping her in her crate in my bedroom so that she will stay calm and not be tempted to be active. I do hate doing this to her but it is for the best (and I promised the vet that I would if they let me bring her home LOL)
she is doing great, has been going potty normal and is even eating. Her incision is really small so I am thankful for that. They did shave a tiny bit on her belly but not much at all, so I am thankful for that as well. I will update more tomorrow thanks for all of your prayer and support!! (forgive me if you are on YT also and get to read this twice LOL)

I'm so glad to hear that she is home and doing well. I remember after Marty's surgery we COULD NOT keep him from being active. I think he missed us so much while he was at the vet though. It was his first time away from us since we got him. When we brought him home he just wouldn't stop jumping and I was so afraid he was going to hurt himself. He didn't seem to be in any pain at all though which I was very thankful for. I wish I had thought to crate him, but luckily we didn't have any problems.
Give Maggie kisses from me and Marty.

I am so glad Maggie is doing well. My friend's Yorkie was spayed Tuesday and she is doing very well now. She only weighs 2 1/2 lbs. She has been bringing her to work with her since the surgery and she is so cute. She brightens our day at work. I hope Maggie does as well as she has.

I also found out that she is weiging 4.6 lbs. I thought she was 5 lbs. not a huge difference but ounces on these little guys makes a big difference I am still hoping she will hit 5.5 lbs. we'll see
