Having homeschooled my 2 younger kids, I did quite a bit of research into this.
They wanted diplomas so this was the route we went.

Now Joels GF is getting her diploma this same way. It's a good alternative for many if they just do the research and choose the right program for their situation.

That's wonderful Tink! Brendon and I have discussed this, and we definitely want to homeschool when have children if AT ALL possible. I'll probably have lots of questions to ask you when that time comes...not that it'll be anytime soon. lol

Thanks for the link.I'm going to check it out.
I just want to make sure that what I choose will actually be a real diploma.
So I am totally lost on all of this.

What you need to look for is "accredited" schools. From them you get an actual diploma.

Check this one out and tell me what you think

I was also looking into Penn Foster

Should I also call the Department of Education In Ohio to see what they say?

I wish I could be of more hlep, but not knowing your age, grade level completed, the requirements in your state, etc it's hard to give you sound advice.
Hopefully this link will help.

This pertains specifically to adult Ohio residents earning a HS diploma it might help you...
