Wisdom Teeth Removed~~~~~
Sorry I haven't been around much lately. It's been busy around here. Even with both girls away from home. I had my wisdom teeth removed on Wednesday, and I am so tired to hurting and being swollen. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!! Worked yesterday, no fun!!
Perhaps I'll have time to catch up on all the past posts that have gone unread. Glad to see y'all are all still here. Hope all is well!!!!

Wondered what happened to you Marilyn. I'm sorry you're having a heck of a time with the wisdom teeth. I was really lucky, I used this numbing stuff to wait till my wisdom teeth broke through the gums and then I made an appointment to have them pulled. I didn't have any swelling or pain at all.
I was telling a friend where I went to have it done and that I didn't have any problems...didn't even have to take a tylenol. Well, she went there and ended up with her whole face swollen. I felt so bad for her. I guess it just affects everyone differently. Hope you're mending quickly.

That reminds me when my husband went into the military hospital just before we got married 30 years ago to have his out.
The nurse asked him to shave so he did when she saw him said no not your face your private area he aked why when he was haveing his teeth removed? she had mixed him up with someone who was in for a vasectomy. |

Thank you for all your comments and well wishes. Things have not gone as well as I had hoped. Usually I surprise the doctors, I heal so fast and have so few problems, however, this time was not so good. I made it through the weekend groggy from pain medication. Monday evening was the worst. I took two hydrocodone (sp?) and an 800 mg ibuprophen (sp?) and no relief. Finally at 11:30 p.m. the pain meds kicked in enough that I got to sleep. Tuesday morning, I hit the meds hard again and made it through the morning pretty well at work, making sales calls. I called the oral surgeon Tuesday morning and they got me in to see him at 4 p.m. I have dry sockets. The blood clots did not form sufficiently in the holes to cover the nerve and broken bone, so they cleaned and packed the sockets with medicated packing that contains a numbing agent to sooth and protect and promote healing. This relieved much of the pain and I'm doing much better now. Tomorrow morning I go back to the doctor to have the packing changed. I'm managing on just a little ibuprophen now. Friday I have a big fishing tournament and am supposed to be on the bay with customers. Tomorrow night is the big pre-tournament dinner. I'm trying to get into shape to not only make it through, but enjoy the time. I think I will be there thanks to the packing. Only problem is it has a strong clove (the spice) taste. But is much better than the pain and side effects of the pain meds.
Sorry, I know this is long, guess I'm catching up from being silent for so long. Moral of this story, don't wait until you are over 50 to get your wisdom teeth out!!!!

Marilyn, I figured that you had healed and was busy with something else. I'm sorry that you've had such a hard time with having your teeth removed but I'm glad that you're doing alot better now.
It sounds like you have a fun weekend coming up! You'll have to let us know how everything goes. Are you going to be fishing too or just watching? I like to fish when they're biting!!!!
