Thumbs up Laptop is Fixed!!

My son is so happy, it's been a week and his laptop is fixed and home now. They said they removed two viruses and there were 2 'spy' somethings on it. They also (without our approval) removed the Norton anti virus and put on something else that is suppose to be way better. They said that Norton lets too many things slip through.

Is this true? I've had Norton ever since I've had a computer online and have only had one virus that I can remember and that was when I first started learning about computers. What other antivirus programs do you all use? I'll have to find out what they put on his computer..I can't remember right now. But it only cost $35. I thought it would be a whole more than that!!!

Thank goodness! I couldn't go a week!

My computer guy also took out Norton and put in Kaspersky.

He doesn't change for each thing just by the hour. I get a good rate because I've been with him for years and sent him a lot of people, so it's usually $75.00.

We have McAfee protection on our computer. It's suppose to be really good. We've had our computer for a couple of years and I don't think that we've had a virus yet. Anyway not that I'm aware of.

We used to have Norton on our old computer and we did have a lot of viruses that came through.

I bet that your son is thrilled in getting his computer back. I know that he's been asking for days if it was fixed yet.
