Angry Anger

How do you ladies handle your anger in the home? Do you slam those doors? Throw things across the room? Or do you run into the bedroom and cry? Maybe you do all these things.

To me there is nothing better than a slammed door, LOL. (However, must always check to make sure the furkids are not in the way)

I don't throw things nor do I run and cry - I found something that works MUCH better - the SILENT TREATMENT!!! Oh, and those daggers coming out of my eyes work great too!!!

If it's anger at my husband I yell and let him know exactly why I'm angry, but never in front of our son.

If it's anger toward my son, (VERY, VERY SELDOM) I calmly tell him why I'm upset.

I know that's probably wrong..but my husband should know better and my son is still learning!

I yell, slam a door or two, and then give him the silent treatment. I usually don't cry unless he's said something personal that really hurts my feelings, which he usually doesn't.

When we've had a REALLY REALLY big fight, I like to take the furbabies in the car with me and just drive around and listen to music. I usually end up turning on one of "our" songs and it makes me realize why I love him and how stupid our fight is.

LOL - I do the "silent" treatment too after the yelling. It's amazing how long I can go without speaking. See, and that drives hubby crazy because he talks and never shuts up. So, if he has nobody to talk to he goes nuts. After awhile I give in and life is good again.

Before hubby and I got married, so many people told us to "NOT GO TO BED ANGRY." I'm curious to know HOW many of you actually do this. Sometimes hubby and I get in a little tif right before bed just because both of us are tired. To stay up and talk about it would only make things WORSE! Usually after those little tifs, even if we go to bed angry, we are fine the next morning. Is that bad?? How many of you NEVER GO TO BED ANGRY??

I'm sorry but I can't put a time table on my emotions. Come night fall and if I am still pissed then well I go to bed still mad. Then....Hubby wakes up all happy and stuff and I swear that ticks me off even more. LMAO!! I'm like, "what the hell? We are still fighting, and did you forget??"

Yeah, I know EXACTLY what you mean! If I stay up and fight, it usually just makes things worse. I need time to chill out & settle down. I'm usually more rational after I've had a good night's rest.

I've tried to go to bed mad or upset & I can't do it. I can't fall asleep I just lay there & think about it over & over so I finally have to talk it out if I'm going to get any sleep. These talks usually end in sex so even though I keep him up late I do give him a little reward.

Damn! If my husband new he would be getting sex after everytime we fought, he'd fight with me all the time. LOL

Which brings me to another thought. Do any of you "hold sex" from your spouse as punishment? ahhahahaha I must admit, I have before.
