Tax rebate

We got our tax rebate directly deposited into our checking account today.
We got $662, which I do not understand.
We both worked last year and had a combined income well below the allowable... We were able to claim both Joel and katie, but since they're both over 16 we don't get a rebate on them.
What really stinks is that since we claimed them they also can't get a rebate on themselves.

Seems Uncle Sam built in some very nifty little loopholes to keep from paying out any more than they had to. AGAIN

We don't get anything until June 26th. It will be mailed out then. We didn't have direct deposit so we have to wait. It seems like you max on two kids, but we should get $1200... I think. But we never recieved any letters so I'm worried that we won't get anything for some reason.
So whatcha gonna buy, Tink?

Traci, I'm hoping to save money out for my Chicago trip.

I'm looking SO forward to that! With gas prices what they are and other expenses it won't be cheap but I'm sure it will be well worth it to meet my friends face to face.

Oh, that would be cool! I have to pay off one of my last two credit card bills. I would love to go shopping, but atleast I'm getting closer to getting out of debt.

I received my tax rebate the last week of March, and just received the stimulas check for $600 on Monday.

Our stimulas won't be direct deposited until May 16. Our property tax rebate came today...wow a whole $95, but it's better than nothing. Guess that means we won't get anything for Ricky since he's 17 and we claimed him so he won't get it either. They screw you any way they can, they might as well just keep it instead of getting everyone's hopes up and then slamming them down.

I should get mine the 16th too. I did the work sheet and looks like I should get over 1100.

I got mine today. Just in time too. I worry when our bank account gets low...

Our $1200 was deposited last Friday.

Judy - it will be sent to where your 2007 tax refund was filed. If you had a 2007 tax refund that was direct deposit, but used a preparer, it will come in a check (I think). That's what my MIL was told about hers.

Yep all you have to do to get it direct deposited is to have had your tax refund sent to your bank rather than your home.
