Fireworks
In general how do you feel about fireworks? I just wish they didn't scare my dogs so much.

I'm not really crazy about fireworks, especially the flash and thunder ones! We usually get a bunch and shoot them off somewhere with other people. It sure helps that my brother runs a stand and gives us most of our fireworks!!! I really like the fountains and ones like that but not firecrackers or things with really loud sounds.

I think they are okay. I don't like firecrackers or any with the sharp banging. Now the thunderous ones that are way up in the sky are beautiful. I don't like it when the boys do the noisy ones out here because the dogs get upset and bark and Penny our Golden is afraid of them. I'm so glad they are not doing any here at home this year.

I like fireworks, especially taking pictures of them. I'll miss the show this year because I'll be working, but HERE are the pics I took last year. I had a lot of fun getting those shots!

I hate them when they go off late at night, not excited this year because I am sure they will scare Tricksie too death. She is afraid of thunder.

I love watching them. When I was a kid, we all used to go up on top of the roof every Tuesday night to see the fireworks show from Coney Island.
Those shows are long gone, and nobody is allowed on the roof anymore. I'd have to say that in NYC, it's become boring unless you're willing to go to the city to try and see the Macy's fireworks. (I'm not into it). My ex used to watch them on TV. I thought that was just crazy. You don't get the effect at all!

I do like fireworks, but they do scare my dogs, and this year my neighbor was setting them off and Micah had a fit he cryed his eyes out, so they weren't too much fun this year, I'll try with Micah again next year...

This year wasn't too bad, but lately I've hated them. Recently idea passed a law that you could set off mortars in town (mortars are the big loud ones that go way up in there air). My neighbor across the street sets them off about 5 days surrounded the 4th from about 10-11:30. I wouldn't have a huge problem except logan barks no stop & we usually have to get up for work the next day. Thank goodness they must of been out of town this year.
I may be getting old, but i think setting off these types of fireworks in town by Amateurs (usually intoxicated) is way too dangerous & should never have been legalized. |
