Surgery Next Month
Hi Ladies,
Just wanted to have a prayer request for me. AGAIN. My oldest daughter got married on July 26th. It went very well. So far things for her are going good. I on the other hand am not. I have a prolapsed bladder. I go next Tuesday for a urodynamic test. I had one done 3 weeks ago but my gyno didn't like the results and wants me to go to a urologist on Tuesday for another one. I hate it. But it has to be done. Then on Wednesday I have to have a pelvic ultrasound done to see how my female parts look. Then I go back to my gyno and she will tell me when i have to have surgery and have my bladder reattached and my female parts removed. Last check she said September. I have a friend who is older than me that had this done back in June. She can't lift anything for 6 months. I can see my house becoming a total mess. Not that that matters. I'm just afraid this will be the end of me. My oldest brother died in 2004 after surgery. My mother died in 2006 from cancer so I can't help thinking that it's my turn. I know i shouldn't think that way. But I can't help it. It is really starting to get me down. I am not suppose to be lifting anything right now but I have to. I'm not a person that can sit and do nothng. But i also know that if i do any lifting after the surgery it could make things worse. So if when i make it though this and I feel up to doing things on the computer you all will be so tired of listening to me it won't be funny. So if you don't mind keep me in your prayers. I will let you know when they set the date. Thank you all so much for being there for me though every thing. You all are VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE. Cecil

Oh, Cecil, so hope everything goes well!!!! I had a complete hysterectomy in 1995, and they suspended my bladder also. All went very well, and hope that if this is what you need, that you will do as well. I was only 41 at the time though. There were no lifting restrictions that I can remember after the doctor released me 1 month after the surgery.
Keep us posted & will be thinking of you.

I knew Emily was getting married, but didn't realize it was last month. She is living here isn't she? I haven't seen her for a few weeks....usually see her at Wal Mart..lol.
When I had my hysterectomy, I couldn't lift anything over 10 lbs for about 6 weeks, but that didn't bother me. I came up with other ways to do what I had to do. Wish you lived closer and I'd help you. Gary is pretty good about helping you so hopefully you can just take it easy.

Linda...can you email me and tell me why they think you need this surgery or what made them decide? I've been having an issue and would like to know a little more, if you don't mind. Whenever it's convenient is fine.

Congratulations on your daughters wedding. Good luck to you on your up coming surgery. Please think postive thoughts , sorry to hear about your brother and mother but don't put those thoughts in your mind. You will do fine with the surgery you will see. My prayers are with you..

Linda, I'm sure that everything will be just fine. If you're really nervous about the surgery you can ask your doctor for something to help calm you before you go in. I can't imagine not being able to lift things for 6 months. That sounds like a really long time, maybe it won't be so long for you. The good part is that you'll be on here a lot more!!!! We can definitely handle that!!!!! You'll be in my prayers! Keep us posted on what's going on!

Best wishes to you! My older sister had the surgery a few years ago and the recovery was a bit rough, but she blesses that surgery EVERY day! It was well worth it, she says!
