Thumbs down Perfect Day----NOT!!!!!!!!

It is now 2:00 in the afternoon. I heard my golden retriever bark, which in turn gets the others going. In walks my husband.....he got FIRED!!! Only been there a few weeks...7 or 8 I think...and he gets fired.

Perfect freak'n timing!! So much for thinking things were looking up.

Don't want to type much more....I'll end up making a fool of myself I'm so angry!!

Dear Janet,

How awful for you both! He liked that job. I'm really so sorry this happened.

If you'd like, I'll prank call them for you.

If you want to talk, call me.

Hugs,

Judy

Hey That's a great idea. We could call and say we want Rick to work on our cars and when they tell us he's not there tell them Sorry no Rick no business.

Just a thought.............

Janet, I'm so sorry!! Was it due to business being down, last in/first out? I know some places here are having troubles.

Thank you all very much. I'm hoping I can type this all without crying anymore. Rick thought he would really like it there (the new place). The other guys seemed really nice and he didn't really worry about getting along with any of them.

Some of the other body shops in town...Rick knows them all, couldn't believe Rick went to work for this shop. They said the guys are all 'butt-hole buddies' and are just pretty tight. No one told Rick that until after he got hired.

After Rick started working there, he still liked it, but thought things were so different from any shop he's ever worked. They didn't have much to work on so he was really glad he was getting paid hourly instead of commission like he had always done. Well, when he got back from lunch, Rick hadn't even got out of his car yet, when the boss handed him his check and told him he was paid up until lunch today. That he was disappointed that he hired him because he thought that for as long as Rick has worked auto body repair, that he would be faster. How in the sam-he** can he be fast if he doesn't have anything to work on but piddley stuff? He said the boss wouldn't even look at him...just walked off.

Anyway, Rick will go back tomorrow with the truck to pick up all his tools. I told him I'd help him if he wanted, but I'd speak my mind to the SOB. Needless to say...I'm suppose to stay home.

He has my mother's car to work on (she wrecked it again and hasn't had it fixed yet), but after that, he'll need a job. We don't have a savings...still have 5 years on the house, plus the normal bills, elect, cells..etc.

I am so darn sick and tired of struggleing. I didn't think at this age I would still be worried about money. Not that I thought we'd be rich, but at least I could sit down and not worry if there was a bill I couldn't pay until the next week. I'm tired. I'm ready to go whenever the good Lord wants to take me. I just plain sick and tired! I honestly just don't care to try anymore.

Maybe I'll feel better tomorrow, but somehow...I doubt it. I'll just carry on because that is what is expected.

Janet, I'm so sorry to hear about Rick's job. It sounds like he wasn't working for a very good company anyway. What an awful way to get fired! Shows that what Rick was hearing about them was probably right. I'll be praying for a new job to come Rick's way. Keep your chin up. I'm here if you need me.

Oh Janet, I'm so sorry. It's just such an awful time in our country right now and then to have to worry about finding another job, well, it just doesn't seem fair. A similar thing happened to us five years ago when my hubby woke up one morning in heart failure. He's never been able to work a day since. Fortunately, we were able to get his medical retirement, but that took 10 months. He had about 2 months of sick leave, so we had to (very unexpectedly) live on my salary for about 8 months. Needless to say, it was quite a shock. He was in the hospital several times in that 10 months, and we were able to keep paying to keep his health insurance, but it didn't pay 100% for anything. I remember paying the hospital and doctors $10 a month. It was all we had. It isn't the same, I know - but you can get through it - just keep pushing forward.

Again, I'm really sorry.
