Still feeling sick
I have been fighting a sinus infection since last weekend, I guess with the stress of my father in law passing and being at the wake and the room was cold. On Monday was the funeral and it was a sad and I didnt sleep at all the night before.
I did go to the dr. on Tues and he gave me z-pack antibodics and I have been taking them , I am still congested and just don't feel right. I guess I have to give it a few more days but it sucks being sick. I am also going through aniexty when I get it I do not sleep much, every nerve in my body just races, when I sleep I wake up from having crazy dreams.. I am sooooooooo tired and just feeling down. I hear so many people are getting sinus infections , just wishing the warmer days were here already... Thanks for letting me vent....I need to...lol |

I think you are not getting well due to the stress of your fil passing. Stress really knocks down the immune system. Also, there are many sinus infections nowadays that do not respond to antibiotics. I know some docs who will not prescribe antibiotics for a sinus infection anymore. It is miserable, but in reality, when you fight off an infection without antibiotics, you are making your own antibodies to the bug and the next time you get that bug, your body will be better able to fight it off. Eventually, you may become immune to that particular bug. Antibiotics are great, but when they don't kill a bug, the only thing they are doing is keeping your own immune system from taking care of the bug.
Just take care of yourself - try to reduce the stress and sadness, eat well, drink plenty of fluids, sleep, don't overdo and your body should heal.

Gina i'm sorry you are not feeling well.
Take some rest and time for yourself gf, do things that you want to do, let the rest sort itself out for a while. Thinking of you, and hope you feel better soon!! Hugs... and more hugs!!

I'm sorry you're feeling sick Gina. I agree that the stress is probably prolonging the bug. Hopefully you'll feel better soon.
And I'm ready for warmer weather too!

I'm sorry that you're not feeling well, Gina. Anxiety can be a really hard thing to deal with. Try to stay away from caffeine because that tends to make it worse. You might try some Tylenol PM (just one tablet). It should help you relax so you can sleep and with one tablet, you won't wake up groggy. {{{{{Gina}}}}}

Gina...it sure sucks to be sick gf!!! I haven't had a sinus infection since I quit smoking...don't remember if you smoke or not. My Dr. use to prescribe the z-pack too. Worked wonders. As far as sleeping....I don't need something to help me very often, but when I do, I ask my Dr. for that Ambien sleep aid. It really helps without making me groggy the next day.
I sure hope you get to feeling better really fast and that your wish for warmer weather comes fast too.

Hope you feel better Gina. I just wish we had more time off to just rest up before going back to work after all the busy days.

Dear Gina,
I'm so glad the sinus infection is gone. They make me miserable! I'm sorry about the anxiety, but if you eat well, try to do some things you enjoy, and just kind of go with the flow of it, it will go away.
