Cruise Pics

Okay, I'm going to try to post pictures from our cruise and see if it works.

1. Our ship - The Carnival Conquest
2. Hubby with a view out the back of the ship.
3. Our friends who invited us on the cruise. Picture was taken on the glass bottom boat tour at Key West.
4. Looking down a street in Key West.

Okay, it worked, so I'll try to post more. When I tried to do this before, the pics were too large. This time, it's working!!! Yaaaa!!!

5. Top of ship where the pools are. Very busy place, at least during spring break, not quite like the cruise brochures make it look.
6. Hubby and me doing what we do best. Love the views in the dining rooms though.
7. A sample of the towel art. We had a walrus, the elephant, a monkey, a rabbit (twice, wearing Hubby's sunglasses), a dinosaur, and a heart.
8. Nassau in The Bahamas.

9. The bay at Key West as we were leaving the port.
10. The pine trees with palms below. This is what most of Freeport in The Bahamas looked like.
11. The federal court house at Nassau. Nassau is the capital of The Bahamas. This is where some of the court trials surrounding Nicole Smith were held.
12. A policeman directing traffic in Nassau. I remember seeing this same thing in Bermuda when we visited there when I was 7.

I'd post more, but that's probably enough to be interesting and not bore you all. We did have a nice time, inspite of the weather part of the time. It was a very interesting experience.

Marilyn, your pictures are beautiful! The one of the street in Key West is so gorgeous. I think I remember you saying you wished you could have spent more time in Key West and now I can see why. I've never been there but would love to go.

Marilyn the pictures are really good. I wish I could go on a cruise just once before I pass. Every picture had such beauty. Please...whenever you want or have time...I would love to see more, I never get bored looking at travel pictures.

Marilyn, the pictures make me wish that I would have went with you!!! I agree with Gayle about the Key West photo. Very beautiful!!! I would so love to go on a cruise!! I'm so ready for weather that I can swim in!!!!

What about scheduling a 4WT cruise in a couple of years?

I actually thought about this, too. There are three and 4 day cruises. Something like that might work. We'd have to see what the best location is to leave from. For all the Texans, and close states, Galveston would be best, there are others closer to Florida or other ports. But it's definitely something that would be fun to do. We could really get to know each other and have some fun.

BTW, thank you everyone for your kind comments about the pics. Key West was especially beautiful.

I had a nursing conference on a cruise ship a few years ago. It was a small conference group, only about 30 people. I didn't get to go because the day the ship left port, Gary was having emergency open heart surgery. But all my friends who went said they had a great time.

I think a 4WT cruise would be a great idea! I said I wouldn't go on another cruise, but I would with my 4WT buds!

I think that we should consider taking a cruise. Marilyn, could you get an idea of what one would cost for a three or four day trip? Just a round figure would do. Then we would have an idea of what we would need to save. Let's see, that would make it in the year of 2011. When the date gets closer then we'll get the specifics narrowed down. For those of us who live further away we'd need to have airfare saved up too. What does everyone else think?

Maybe we should start a new thread with this!!

Marilyn, love your pics.. I went on that cruise a few years ago. I didn't go with Carnival though. I love Key West.. Did you eat their Key Lime Pie?.. it is to die for.. Did you take the tour through the town?, the roofs are made of tin... Hence the movie with Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor , Cat on a Hot Tin Roof... It was a beautiful place , makes me want to take out my photos...

When I was in Nassau, I went to see the hotel Atlantis, it is very big and beautiful. Carnival is a great ship many things to do and its a young crowd. The food is plentiful... yes a cruise sounds wonderful to meeeeeee...

We had Key Lime Pie on a stick dipped in chocolate!! It was definitely different. I think I'd have enjoyed just a plain old slice of the pie more though, but had heard of "on a stick" and just had to try it.

We didn't have time to take the tour. We did the glass bottom boat, but in hind site, would have been better taking the tour. We had sea sickness issues on the glass bottom boat.

We definitely want to go back to Key West, but next time, will probably be on our Harleys.

Unless we decide to take a 4WT cruise there!!
