American Bulldog!!!!
Wow, do we have our hands full!! Melissa and Garrett moved down here yesterday and brought with them an 8 week old American bulldog puppy. He's aready bigger than our yorkies & we are having quite a time. They are not getting along at all. He's trying to play and they are trying to fight. I don't know what we are going to do. He is soooo cute, but he's very curious and is into everything. He's really awkward and trips over his big paws all the time. Sooo cute. I can see why there are so many funny pictures of them online as puppies.
What a mess!!!

Maybe the yorkies need to get used to him. He sounds adorable.

Here are some pics. We've had to separate him from the yorkies. He latched on to Zoe's long hair and wouldn't let go. About frightened her to death. She started squeeling and hyperventalating. Chase just wants to fight with poor little Mack. Mack's just trying to play, but he's too rough for them. He bites too hard and doesn't realize how much he hurts. He does this to our ankles and arms too, and we have scratches from him. He's so cute though!!

He is really cute !!! Best to try and curb the biting though before it becomes habit....even if he is a puppy. Your poor Yorkies are wondering when that mean guy is leaving....lol

He is so cute. So soft and sweet looking!
I think he could probably be trained to play nicely with the yorkies, IF they allow him near them again. Character: American Bulldogs are dutiful, courageous, and protective, but they should not be aggressive. Despite their reputation, American Bulldogs make wonderful family pets. While they are capable of being competitive with other dogs, they should not initiate a challenge unreasonably. The breed is not hostile, though they have a genetic disposition towards heroic acts, bravery, and fighting. When properly raised and sufficiently trained, American Bulldogs make excellent companions. They are naturally good with children and they cater to the wants and needs of their owner(s). The American Bulldog has an alert, intelligent, and confident disposition, and they have strong protective instincts. Sometimes leery with strangers or aggressive towards other dogs, it’s important for an American Bulldog to be obedience trained and well-socialized at a young age.

They definitely plan to obedience train this little guy, and are discouraging the biting. He seems like he's already getting more gentle with us. He just tries to mouth us like most puppies do, but he doesn't realize how strong his bite is. He's only 8 weeks old. Their breeder said that this is the normal age for adopting a bulldog.
He seems to be understanding when he is told "no" and may be discovering that he gets more attention when he is more gentle with us. It will take time though. We will continue to try to get him used to the yorkies, and them to him, just have to be very careful. He could really hurt Zoe without meaning to. He doesn't seem to be agressive at all, just playful. I never thought I'd like a bulldog, but this guy is really cute and cuddly. His loose skin is so soft.

Awwww, he sure is cute!!!! What a handful you'll have when you have all three of them together!!
I know that Reuger is very aggressive when a new dog is around and I think that he's trying to protect his territory. If you put your yorkies in a kennel with the other dog around they can get used to each other without hurting each other. After a while you can take them out of the cage. We have a lab and airdale that are around Reuger and Jazzi and we don't have any trouble with them bothering the smaller dogs. Good luck and Enjoy!!! I'm sure that you're very happy to have your daughter and her husband close by! There's nothing like having our young ones close by where we can still mother them!!!!
