Frost???

Just a few counties east of us there was frost this morning. We were at 47 degrees when I woke up and we are expecting a high of 57. I love these crisp cool mornings. I woke up and could almost see my breath...lol....I had the bedroom window open, but by the time hubby came out....he had closed it....LOL....wimp!!! I love being cold and in the covers.

Suppose to be cool this weekend too and maybe some rain moving in. I hope not, but I suppose we could use it.

It's the dreaded time of year for me! Frost means it's pretty close to me being locked indoors for the next 6 months! We've had frost on and off for the past week. About a month ago I took all my tomatoes off my plants outside, and they've been turning red on my kitchen counter. It's getting too cold to take Layla for walks outside already. I just checked the forecast and we might be getting some snow on Tuesday!
Where I live, we can get all four seasons within a week or two!

Oh wow I just looked up your forecast and it says 5cm of snow!! Only 1cm here. Hopefully it will just melt. With all this rain we've been getting, the roads would be really icy.

I hope that the frost and cold weather stay north. We still have crops that are too green to take it right now. We'd really be hurt. So stay away frost and freeze!!!!

We do too Diana. Most of the farmers are harvesting the beans. Have some empty fields already. Some fields of corn are ready, but most have a ways to go yet.

It was cold here this morning. Got up to about 64 this afternoon. Wow, I like the cooler temps but I'll have to agree with Diana and Janet, frost and snow stay up North for a while longer.

Don't have to worry about that here, yet. Haven't even needed a sweater or anything. Still wearing short sleeves.

Just checked the weather. It's 70 deg and light rain this morning. I thought is was much cooler from how it felt when I let the dogs out. I'm sure we will have some cooler weather soon enough.

From the rain we've gotten, our plants are all looking so good. We have small red flowers all over the front sidewalk from one of our big tropical plants. Not sure what it is called.

It's only 54 degrees here this morning and it's suppose to rain. Yesterday I actually planted 55 tulip bulbs! The temp was perfect for that.

It's raining here still. Right now the temperature is 3 degrees C (37 F) but with windchill it is -1 (30 F).

How is the weather in Calgary today Maddie? I was watching Canada AM before work this morning and it said some parts of Alberta are under a snowfall warning, and they're expecting 10-20 cm of snow today! (That's 4-8 inches for everyone else here lol)

It was very hot and muggy here yesterday, but a front came through last night and we got about a half inch of rain (my garden was so happy). Today it is cool - probably in the 70's and cloudy, so it feels wonderful. It is supposed to rain Sat. and Sun., 70% chance. We sure need it, but of course this weekend is the years biggest music festival in Austin.

Austin City Limits music festival. There will be 130 live bands playing in Austin from today till Sunday. There is a huge venue out in the park downtown so everyone out there may get wet. Bands also are playing in clubs all over downtown - don't you know the clubs will be busy if it rains. You have to buy an ACL pass to get into any of the clubs or the park. It's just too busy and crazy for me, so I skip it. Usually it is brutally hot at ACL, but this year it just may be cool and wet!

We have been having a stretch of beautiful weather, but now we are getting rain, except for tomorrow. It will be about a 10 day period of rain. It's still in the 60's or 70's in the warmest part of the day, and cold at night. We haven't had a frost yet.

I am going to plant bulbs this week. I would like them in front of the house, but that is shaded by the eaves. I may do it around my tree. I'll see. I have to bring in a couple,e of plants from the deck. The rest are dying and will just be mixed with the soil for the most part. Oddly, my fuchsia plant on my porch is still blooming. I will just leave it there until it goes.

I was thinking of taking in the angels on the front porch and steps, and putting somepots of chrysanthemums, but I really do not like them. They die out so quickly, that they remind me of death and winter.

I'm not packing up the deck furniture until it is really too cold to sit out. Some of the things out there are just too heavy to bring down to the basement, so I will cover them, and put them on top of something so they don't just rot out the deck.

Now....off to eBay for winter boots!

It's cool here today and wet. It rained yesterday and although not raining now....if looks and feels like it just did....very cloudy and here it is 2:00 in the afternoon and it's only 55 degrees. I love the cool fall weather, but I want sunshine.
