Happy Saturday!!!
Happy weekend everybody! It is a beautiful day up here, despite the forecast of rain. I hope you are all having the same beautiful weather.
I don't now what I am going to do today. I should go over to Jessie's. Now that the kids are back in school, I don't see them as much as I did over the summer. They're all busy getting sick too, what with the cold weather starting, and the sharing of germs in school. Mackenzie has pink eye, and I hope the younger ones don't get it. If they have it, I am not going over there! I am worried about Jessie, especially since she is having a slight MS flare up, what with the swine flu and all. She also works much too hard! I can't tell her what to do though, so I am just supportive. I think that she should rest for a couple of hours every day, or at least relax, but that's just not going to happen. I have been organizing the house, and yesterday, did half of my kitchen cabinets! It is going to take me some time, but I feel like it is time for me to finish settling in here. I can definitelty do that already. I still have some more things to buy, but I am not going to worry about it. When I find things I love, I will buy them. In the meantime, I can definitely organize everything. I had to go down to Westchester last week, and went to Homegoods. It's a great store. Their stuff is highly discounted, and you can get some really great things there. I got towels, and some little things I needed for the kitchen. It was fun to be able to shop in person. I am going down to the city on Monday (the dentist again), and may stop at a couple of stores in NJ on my way home. NJ has the best malls, especially on Route 17. Tomorrow, I am reading a couple of pieces I wrote in my writers' workshop from, the summer, and on the 10th, I am reading a couple more someplace else. I am nervous, but I'm also excited. I think it's a great way to meet more people. I'm beginning a pottery workshop on Tuesday, and I am really excited about that. On Wednesday, I am going to try a Shakespeare reading group. I am still looking for a meditation group, and I don't think I have time for anything else! I also am beginning to look for a new used car. Mine is beginning to cost too much, and it is just to old to keep putting money into. I'm disappointed though. I thought I was eligible for a tax refund of about $7,500 because I'm a first time homeowner, but my accountant just called and told me I had too much income the year I bought the house. They count the money I took out of my annuity to make the down payment as income! Idiots! I thought that would pay for a car nicely. So....my two big expenses this year will be a car and my floor. Unless, of course, something else comes up I got my new bedding, and I just love it! I have to do something about the drapes, but something beautiful will turn up.

Hi Judy!!! I just loved reading your post. You are getting into so many things and I think it's wonderful. I hope when I retire...I can find things worth while to do and keep learning. I admire you so much.
Your bedroom is simply gorgeous. It all matches so perfectly and looks so homey. I need to start getting away from the country look.

WOW! The bedding looks great with your wall color!! I wish I could take that pottery class with you...sometimes I just HATE living in a small town that offers very little. Well, we DO have a 2 year college that offers different things, but they haven't had a pottery class in a long time!
I weeded my flower beds today, then I did my finger and toe nails

Your bedroom is beautiful Judy! Is that Max or Annie on the bed? I don't remember seeing pictures of Annie since she was just a puppy!

That's Baby Annie, Linds. She follows me everywhere. She is about 4.5 pounds!
So...the first night of pottery, I didn't go! I will begin next week. It looks great in print, but it is hard to create a new life!!! Slowly, I think, is best.
