Easy Potato Recipe
I had a woman from church tell me about this recipe years ago. It's really easy and goes so good with wild game or other meats.
Peel potatoes and cut into bite sized pieces. Add some chopped onion. Place 4 chicken bullion cubes and 1/3 cup of water with potato and onions in a casserole dish with a lid. Cook in the microwave oven until done. I get mine good and hot and close to done then place a towel over the dish to hold in the heat and let it sit for awhile. Don't add salt because the bullion cubes are salty enough. You can adjust this recipe to fit your own tastes. I make a large bowl and use 5 bullion cubes and I cut up about 1/4 to 1/3 of an onion. Very easy!!! |

That sounds delicious Diana! I can't wait to try it one night instead of our old standby baked potato

What type of potatoe do you use and how many for 4 cubes of bullion seasoning?

I just used regular white potatoes. My bouillon cubes were double size, the kind you dissolve in two cups of water per the instructions on the package. The regular cubes are dissolved in one cup of water, so I only used two of the double cubes. I used a half cup of water and heated it in the microwave and dissolved the cubes in it before I put in the potatoes. I cut up five medium sized potatoes for the four of us.
Diana indicated to just put the water cubes and potatoes in all together and cook them so I'm sure you can do it that way too.
