I'm so disappointed/discouraged!!

Most of you know how much I have looked forward to trying WW. I called last week and got the meeting time and place in our town about 10 miles from my home. I lost the time, so called the 800 number this morning. They no longer have WW in my town. If I go I will have to drive to Lafayette which is about 35 minutes from me. I know it's not that far, but I don't like to drive after dark that well. The lights just blind me.

Am I destined to be fat forever!!! I could just cry. My husband won't be home till late tonight or I would have him ride with me to check it out. I don't have anyone else to go with me. I am sitting here crying now. I wanted this so bad.

If I get the books from ebay...do you think it's possible to do it on one's own? Has anyone tried it on their own before....do you need to go to the meetings all the time? Someone please, post if you know anything about WW. I want to try it anyway...I just don't want to give up.

Janet, I never went to a meeting. I did WW on my very own. My mom went to a couple of meetings, bought the books for me, and taught me how to do it. If you get the books off of E-bay, I will teach you how to do it. No problem at all!!!!!!! I taught my sister-in-law how to do it and I will teach you, too.

Thanks Amber_lv, I can't help it, I just have to get this weight off and from everything I've heard..WW is about the best and sounded like it would be something I could do. I just can't believe it. Sometimes I just want to crawl in a hole and never come out.

Oh my, you are an absolute Godsend. I just can't quit crying, first I'm crying because I was so disappointed and now I'm crying because there still may be hope for me yet. Please don't feel discouraged. As many have said, we will be your support group. You can purchase the books online and follow through at home. I think the meetings are mostly to boost your morale and offer encouragement but you can get that here from us!! Please try not to be so upset, it's going to be ok.

Thanks to the big sweet heart of Rebecca, I ordered the books from ebay. I was so nervous, upset, excited all at once that I forgot to see how long it would take them to arrive, but instead of waiting on the books, I'm gonna start on my treadmill again tomorrow. Maybe by the time they arrive, I'll be back up to 30 minutes a day again.

You all don't know what this means to me, having you all as my support. This has been pretty much a life long battle with me and then when I called this morning and was informed they were not in my town anymore...I just didn't think there was ever going to be hope for me.

I'm a pretty strong willed woman, usually find a way to get what I want or need, but this weight has been a battle and I was losing. Thank you all for your support from the bottom of my heart. I love you gals!!!!!

YAY, Janet!!!!!!!!!!! We are all so proud of you for being so brave to begin your weight loss journey. YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!! WW is great because you can seriously eat whatever you want! It is all about portion control. I know you will be needing some tips here in a few days when your books arrive. You know where to find me! Don't hesitate!
