Haven't had a boob job, but had a lump removed, and the surgeon planned to go through the edge of the nipple to reduce scarring. The lump was in the right edge of my right breast, so I suggested that he take a direct route under my arm instead. I wasn't worried about a scar. Well, I'm sharing this because the surgery was done in March of this year, and the scar is still red and tender. I think this area is more sensitive than even the edge of the nipple. If they will do your surgery through the belly button or the nipple, I'd suggest you go that route. I've had two lapriscopes through the belly button, and they healed very quickly.
By the way, I'm naturally a good B cup and don't plan an enhancement, but if you and your husband want it, I'd go for it. Not sure about a D or DD though. My mother was a D, and they were very heavy. She had grooves in her shoulders from the straps. My grandmother was 4'11" and a DDD. She suffered due to their size. She died before breast reduction was possible, but she wanted to have some of hers removed. Somehow, the gene skipped me, and actually I'm glad. My husband says more than a handful is a waste . Both my daughters are C's which is about right. |

i've had surgery scars that were tender and red too so i always always always used neosporin with the pain reliever even after the stitches closed up and vitamin e oil- i am very pale skinned (red head) so i always tried to keep my scars from being as noticeable as i could. my hubby says more than a mouthful is a waste but then he wants me to go D or DD....men!!! My mil is 4'9 ans she is very petite but very curvaceous-DD she wants to have hers reduced also because they have started to make her back hurt but i know she won't do it because she just isn't into that type of thing. she is 51 years old and is gorgeous-like a little pocket venus-girl she still wears a kini to the beach-i've never worn a bikini in my life!!! she be rocking the beach in her swimming suit-me and my mom are so jealous...she is ALWAYS put together....even when she's cleaning house or mowing the yard she looks good! BTW the doc is putting it through the nipple-said it would be about three stitches on each one and he only goes under the pec muscle...he also said there might be drains if need be.....i want to get them so bad but now we have to get my hubby a truck so i don't have to drive him 6 hours down south for him to get on the heliport down south and have to drive down ther amnd pick him up also.....i am not a big fan of driving in strange places.

I have red-head type skin, too. Maybe that's why this scar is still tender. I've had lots of surgeries, and this is the longest it has taken for a scar to fade, but my bra rubs this one, too, so that's probably part of the problem. Will try the vitamin E.
Hope this all works out, for you!! |

My mom had a boob job & they went in through her arm pit. Hers were soooooo swollen for a few weeks after. They were HUGE! She wanted a C & it's about 5 years later & they are a DD still. She loves them though. I still remember the next morning she was still drugged up & talking crazy! It was so funny! She said something to the effect of "they made me take out my earrings or they weren't going to let me play softball!" hahaha! So funny!
I want to get a tummy tuck & boob lift once I have my last baby. I have 1 now & want 1 more. I'm so scared though. Not about the pain or the surgery, but about going "under" & not coming back! |

I had a "Lifestyle Face Lift" on July 12, 06. I went back on Friday to have a touch up because the surgeon left a pucker under my chin! The first surgery went really well, but I had horrible bruising and swelling. The touchup has been OK so far, the bruising takes a day or so to reach it's peak and I don't think it 's going to be so bad this time. When I had the original surgery on the 12th, I also had my upper eyelids done and my neck muscles tightened. I'm very happy with the results and get compliments all the time and I'm not even completely healed yet!

They cut around my ears beginning at the temple in front and went down and around the back of my ears. He pulled the muscles and skin up and tightened them, then made an incision under my chin and did extensive lipo in the neck area. I will actually have a jaw line when I finish healing. The neck tightening procedure is called platesma (sp) He actually cut out a football shape in the muscles in the front of my neck and sewed the edges back together to tighten the area. I didn't have any wrinkles before, so that was not the problem. I had a double chin that I've wanted to do something about for years. My husband and I went to a surgeon several years ago who basically reduced me to tears with his attitude and I just got up and walked out of his office. The surgeon in Atlanta was wonderful! I'd recommend the Lifestyle Lift to anyone! |

When I had mine done (2 hours from home), I remember the doc telling me he was giving me a valium cocktail. I remember getting sick in the hotel room later that night (Friday) and taking off the bandage where the IV went in...ended up ripping some skin off with that one. I remember going in on Saturday morning to get fitted for my bra. Eating some Carl's Junior that evening and throwing it back up. Remember part of a phone conversation on Sunday and going back to work Monday morning. Felt drunk till Monday afternoon. Guess you could say that I had some sort of reaction to the valium because seriously, with the exception of what I put in this post...I don't recall anything else.

As soon as I finish paying off the credit cards (year or so), I plan on getting a set of hooters! I'm a B cup, so there's something there, but I'd like to be a good D. Hubby always argues with me, says I want it so more guys will look at me, so NOT true. I think bigger boobs would just help balance out the rest of me!

My first go around with my BA was w/ the "belly button" procedure. NOT HAPPY. I really think the implants should be placed under the muscle as it's less chances of sagging. I did not have one good experience with this type of procedure whatsoever. |

When I got pregnant I was a B or a PADDED C ! LOL Of course when I got pregnant they grew! Of course when I nursed they grew even more. A year went by and we stopped nursing. The damage??? DD . Here I am 9 years later and I have lost some of my weight but the boobs STAYED!! Trust me You don't want D's ! They get in the way of SOOOO much. I can walk down stairs fast because they bounce all over. I can no longer run unless I have a industrial strength sports bra on!!!! Of course my husband LOVES them. That's no shocker! You should really think about this long and hard first. Get more opinions on the subject from women who have "big ones" I think a nice C wouldn't be too bad. I honestly don't think I would go any larger. You should also look at your clothes. You tops will no longer fit if you go to a D.You will also end up buying new and BIGGER clothes to accomodate your new boobs! Anyway... Goodluck on whatever you choose!

I was going to say similar things. I am naturally a 32DD (not a bra they make). I grew my boobs the summer between my Junior & Senior year in high school I went from flat as a board to D's (not pleasant) the whole school was sure i had a boob job I did not I was just a late fast bloomer. Just so you know some of the problems of large boobs. 1. Cute bras do not come in bigger than a C cup 2. Even when you find a bra that looks okay & fits you often get spillage out the tops & sides 3. You can't go without a bra ever 4. Running hurts like you would not believe 5. You will no longer have a head when you talk to men 6. You can no longer wear cute tight little tees or anything with an empire waist 7. Gravity is a bitch 8. Cute bikinis that fit are hard to find 9. Pain in back & neck (I been going to a chiropractor every other week since I was 21 and still have pain) I guess that's all. As soon as I make a decision on whether or not I'm having kids I am going to have them reduced to a nice C & lifted, cute bras here I come. Put it this way I have been bra shopping lately & it has been very disappointing. Nothing fits & what does fit look like grandma bras . Just make sure you think about your lifestyle & clothing style & what will look good with your body before you make a decision on size. Bigger is not always better. |
