Oh my Tink, I think Diana gave you a good idea! Like she said, no jail time involved if you're just practicing. LOL

Janet, I have a hard time imagining you with a gun or a bow and arrow. I bet that would be an awesome sight to see. I loved archery when I was at camp. My hubby was a certified teacher. He's awesome!

Wow Angie how cool is that? When my uncle passed away a few years ago, I got his old narrow bows, the ones you string using your legs..can't remember the name, anyway.. my son said "Mom, do you know how to shoot one of these?' and so I went out, took the bow, shot an arrow and hit the bullseye. LOLOL....I told him I was done...didn't need any practice...LOL. I hadn't shot a bow for probably 7 or 8 years at that time. My husband couldn't even believe it...LOL

I love target practice of any kind.

It's kind of nice that my son has a natural talent for shooting a bow. Brings back so many memories when I was a child.

Bren says that kind is called a recurve bow.

That is just amazing Janet. I bet it's a great way to release some stress or even just relax a little. I'm pretty awful with any kind of shooting. LOL

Truth be told, we have 6 guns in the house. My husband and son both have their own. Joels is a 410 hunting rifle. Greg has antique military rifles and a pistol that's just hilarious. It's really small, so I could almost hide it in my hand and it shoots some odd caliber of bullet that is very hard to find. It has so little power that Greg tried to shoot a sick rat that was literally laying at his feet and it couldn't penetrate the rats hide. He ended up having to put the gun down and used a large rock to kill the rat. LOL You'd be safer throwing the gun itself than trying to shoot anything with it.

Oh and I have my dads old 20 gauge that has no barrel on it. LOL

That's exactly right...recurve!!! Thank you. I was going to ask my husband, but decided ...nah!!!!...LOL.

It use to releave alot of stress. I use to picture my sister-in-laws face on the target....LOL...she's a real BBBBBad person....thought I was going to type something else didn't cha???

I use to go on Target shoots with my aunt and uncle starting when I was about 8 years old I think and kept at it until I was oh around 17 maybe. Started out with a small Cub bow with an adjustable pull weigh limit. Sure wish I would have kept it.

This has been a nice trip down memory lane. My aunt and uncle have passed now...so this was nice.

We have an arsenal here too Tink. We reload our own shells including some rifle. I have a very small pearl handled Dillinger that shoots 22's and also a S&W snub-nose 38.

I'm a darn good shot too! If I do say so myself. Just call me Annie Oakley.

Janet I was trying to hit a piune cone on a tree one time. I had a 410 and couldn't do it. They told me to just hit the tree and I couldn't even do that. You are going to have to teach me. Wish I could just pop over one Saturday for lessons.

You made a good target though, right?

I wish you could too, I would love to teach you. I bet your son-in-law could teach you too. So what's this Angie is talking about?????? Were you a target of some sort?

Mom was shot with a bb gun once because my uncle used her for a shield thinking my "dad" wouldn't shoot, but he did. He was a jerk...

Yeah, it was right in the middle of her stomach. Poor mom. At least he is out of her life now and she's a million times better because of it! I'm so proud of her.
