It's not easy! My ex had a heart attack at 43, and ended up having 2 angioplasties. I don't think he watches his diet as carefully as he should, but he seems to be okay. I taught him to shop and to cook for his condition because I thought he had to be involved to take it seriously. Actually, we learned together by reading lots of books. It's a good thing we did because now he's on his own.

I'm sorry your hubbies are not 100% healthy. You just don't know from one minute top the next what's going to happen. You are both wonderful wives.

You know Judy, you are so right. I knew my husband would not live a long and healthy life, since he developed diabetes at age 45, but never in my wildest dreams did I think he would become completely disabled and unable to work at age 55 - and in the blink of an eye!!! If I didn't have a great job, it would be very very hard on us financially.

I try to talk to my daughter about being prepared and she says, "Oh mom, if anything happens to Bryan (her husband), we'll just move in with you" AND SHE MEANS IT

Thanks everybody, for your well wishes! My faith in God certainly gets me by. Mike retired this August at 55. He is able to do what he wants to, most days. He also had a bowel obstruction 2 years ago and had surgery...then he had to have the exact same surgery 5 days later. That was a fun summer

I'm so thankful to have found you all. I have lots of friends and family..but you gals are really special
