Yes, I remember those pictures, like a little family convoy, I think. I'd love to see them again. We don't have house behind us and it's fairly grown up and has a pond (wetlands act) back there (probably 20 acres. Hubby cleared and mowed a little winding path and cut some dips and slants. We can even ride bikes through it. Of course, it's almost berry picking time, so the trail takes longer to get around!

Be careful, Diana!! A good friend of ours who's in her 70's was out on her 4-wheeler, she's a tough old gal and very independent, she somehow turned it over on herself and broke her back in several places. They had to lifeflight her from her ranch to the hospital. This was about 5 years ago. She recovered with no paralysis or anything, but she wears a rather large plastic back brace now, and seems to be in pain. She's not one to complain and tries to act like nothing is wrong. This would have been harder on someone who was not as tough as she is. Even experienced riders have problems with the 4wheelers. From a Harley rider who knows risky hobbies are worth it, just be careful when you're having fun.

Thanks so much for your concern, Gayle. I really try to be careful when I'm riding. I know that I could be hurt very easily. There is just something when you get on the 4-wheeler and you have the wind blowing through your hair that makes you feel like a teenager again!!!...................ok, maybe 40!!!!!!

A couple of our neighbors have golf carts and a couple have mules. This time of year the road our dirt road is full of ripples from the 4-wheelers running rampid! I think my foot's ready to get back on my 2-wheeler, but my lazy butt is procrastinating.

Hey Betsi, that's my preferred mule ride too - although I have ridden the four legged kind many moons ago!

Mules and golf carts are all over some of the plants I call on, only they aren't as clean and pretty as the one in the pic. I ride in them frequently to visit customers. Yep, hard hat, safety glasses or goggles, riding in a mule. That's the life. LOL

Cause they work so hard?! I swear those things will almost climb straight up. I think Frank and Linda's is just like the one in Diana's picture. Danny and Susan's is green. I wanted to get a Kubota to match Harold's tractor, but he talked me out of it. I think I like my 4-wheeler better!

Marilyn, I still have my steel-toed boots and pink hardhat from my Brown & Root Fab Yard days.
