Donald Burgett, one of the original Screamin Eagles, and one of the few Paratroopers to have survived fighting straight from D-day to VE-Day during WWII, survived some of WWII's more prolific battles including D-Day on the French hedgerows and the Battle of the Bulge, and one of my heroes.
