I love to read books by Karen Kingsbury. My favorite is Ocean's Apart. Have the tissues nearby though.

I rec'd two new books for Christmas and then I bought one when Lynne and I went to the Pet Expo. I've started reading The Happy Dog by Bill Rafferty. We also met him at the expo. He is Oprah's groomer. So far I really like the book.

The two I rec'd for Christmas were How to Raise the Perfect Dog by Cesar Milan and Letters To My Sister by Maya Angelou. Can't wait to start reading the last one, but I need to clear my head a bit so I can really enjoy it.

I am almost finished reading this best seller from the NYTimes called "Firefly Lane " by Kirstin Hannah.. It is truly a good book and will warm your hearts. Most of us grew up in the early 70s and will relate to this.. I recommend it.

That sounds like a good one Gina.

Judy....are Stephen King books horror books? I somehow have that in my mind. Never read any of his books, just saw previews of some movies and not sure I would like that. Tell me a bit more about him and his books please.

Janet I never was interested in his books either, I saw a movie on tv based on his book and it was scary. I am not into horror books either, I believe his books are based on that...

Definitely horror! They are scary, and so are the movie adaptations of his stuff.

If you don't like scary, keep away from Stephen King!

Right now Karen Kingsbury is my very favorite author. Her books really draw you into them. She is a fantastic writer!!! You can find them at Wal-mart.

Dean Koontz's Odd Thomas series is brilliant! I still have the second and third. I like listening to him on audiotapes in the car. There is a great website for Odd Thomas.
