33 years tomorrow!!!!!
Tomorrow will be our 33rd wedding aniversary. Wow, it went by so fast!! It's actually hard to believe. Just found out we are going out to dinner tomorrow evening. We've never celebrated much for our aniversary since it is so close to Christmas. It's really wonderful to have a long term relationship like this. He's my best friend, my confidant, my protector, my lover, & my brother in Christ. He's there when I cry, when I'm all stressed out and just can't handle things any more. He's really a wonderful guy, very tender and caring. Honestly don't know what I would do without him. He's also a type A personality, so there's never any guessing what his position is on any subject. He's very passionate about things he cares about and feels deeply about. He can be a mess sometimes, can be frustrating, but l couldn't ask for a more committed, sincere guy. Best thing is he's all mine & after 33 years, I love him more than ever.

Wow! Marilyn, that was beautiful. I really admire and look up to you for being able to sustain a relationship as long as this. I think it helps a marriage if you both have God as your priority, then your marriage, then your children. My husband and I are still newlyweds, but that is the kind of relationship we are trying to build right now. You are a testiment to marriage and that it can still work and there is still hope. God bless you and your husband. And CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS on 33 years of wedded bliss!

Thank you so much for the congratulations. He surprized me this morning with the most beautiful long stem red roses with babies breath and a card that was so beautiful. 33 & 1/2 years ago, 1 week before he proposed, he sent me a dozen roses in a vase just like this. No one had ever sent me flowers before. My parents came to pick me up from college for end of summer break, saw the roses and knew this guy was serious.
He's definitely one of a kind. I couldn't ask for a more supportive partner. Rebecca, I pray that you will have a life like this. The secret is to give more than you get & always be honest, no matter what. Trust is soooo important. Both of you have to be on the same wavelength for it to work well, and it does not come naturally for either of you. It takes work and at times you will want to just give up, but don't. Hang in there and keep working on it, if at all possible. If you can make it through the tough times, you will be stronger and your love will grow, deepen and mature. Having Christ in your life is key to success. If you are both striving to do God's will, He wants you to be together and you will work harder to make it successful. Wishing you a long adventurous happy life!!

Congratulations Marilyn on your anniversary!!! We've been married 32 years and live by the same standards that you have stated. Having God first in our lives helps us to keep everything else in perspective. Anyone looking to have a successful marriage should keep Marilyn's advice!
