Yucky weather!
It snowed yesterday, not much, but left the roads pretty slick. Took my son out driving so he would get more experience on bad road conditions (we won't let him drive on them alone yet). This is really the first that the roads were not the greatest and he did real well. Very cautious and defensive. Snowed a little more during the night, so it wasn't the best for bus driving. Kids love it when you slide just a tiny bit. They are so crazy!!! LOL Can't wait for springtime.

When I was a kid, my bus driver missed a turn (it had snowed & she couldn't see the road) & we got stuck in a field. It was such an adventure. We had to wait for another bus to come get us & we got to go out the emergency door & we were like an hour late to school.

Thankfully, I've not had that happen and I do have plenty of curvy roads. My kids would love it though!!

I can't imagine living where it snows every year. They would have closed school around here if we'd had your weather.
I remember one year, we had a tropical storm and it flooded around the school during the school day. They drove the school bus right up to the door and picked each one of us up and carried us over the water and put us on the bus. I was probably in 5th grade at the time. It was so exciting!!!

I've driven on Wisconsin roads my whole adult life. It never used to bother me regardless of how much snow we had. As I get older, I like it less and less.
We don't have near the amount of snow we used to get, but I'm still more reluctant than I used to be. LOL

We had several inches of freezing rain last weekend and then had about 6" of snow on top of it! It's all melting now and a huge sloppy mess!!
Before we got the snow the kids were able to go out and ice skate on top of the freezing rain. My daughter was so excited because she LIVES for it to get cold enough to ice skate! They went in and skated on the church parking lot!! After it snowed they spent a couple of days sledding. It was a very busy weekend at my house last week.

That sounds fun!!! If I didn't hate the thought of falling, I'd like to ice skate again!!!
