Never dating agan!
Hey everyone, I haven't really been active here in the past couple of weeks. Once again I'm a little angry with the whole male population so I'm going to vent! A couple weeks ago I met this really nice guy. We were at a bar and he was friends with a girlfriend of mine and we hit it off. I gave him my number and he called every day until we hung out at his place one night for movies. We talked and kissed and hugged and I thought I found myself a really nice guy. He's the first guy I've had any feelings for since my ex. He said he'd call after that, but he didn't. After a few days I called him and he said he can't hang out right now because he's cramming for finals, so that was okay with me.
This past week I called him and he said we'd hang out the next day. So on Wednesday night I went out with some girls and he and his friend met up with us. I left with them to see some of their friends and we were going to meet the girls back at another bar in an hour. When we got back there, they were just leaving. We ended up going to ANOTHER bar where they ran into two girls they knew, so I hung out with them and they were really nice girls, until one of them kept telling me that everytime I left the table, he started rubbing her leg. A couple guys I knew from before were also there and I asked them about him and they basically said they've seen him out and he's a player and i should be careful. But, I liked him, and he denied everything. He wouldn't drive me back to my car so I stayed at his house, and he was going to drive me in the morning. His alarm didn't go off in the morning and I missed work.... I also woke up with no clothes on. I am not THAT kind of girl at all. I felt sick. Anyways, since then he hadn't called or answered my calls. Since the first night we met he wanted me to go to his rugby team's toga party last night, and i had some girls to go with so I showed up and he wasn't there. His best friend told me he just left to get cigars and he'd be right back. So when my girls left, I decided I'd wait for him at the party where I knew NOBODY. After about an hour I was in the hot tub and talking to some new people and I said I knew Chris and John, but I didn't know where Chris went, and John hadn't been there since I got there. One guy was like "Yeah John left with his girlfriend a long time ago, they've got something to do early tomorrow" I was shocked. Yeah, he does have a girlfriend. I talked to his best friend who also denied it and said "yeah if the girlfriend is you" I walked to my friend's house in the area to sleep on his couch. John texted me all night telling me to come out and meet him and i was like "Do you have a girlfriend?" and he said "I love lamp" (stupid thing from a movie) so then i didn't reply and he said "are you coming?" and i said "Hmmm are you still a jerk or are you single now?" and he was like "why do you ask?" and i said i'm not a fan of cheaters... he just changed the subject again. I finally said "have a nice life" and went to sleep. Why do guys have to be like this? Have I not had my heart broken enough already?

Lindsey, honey I'm sorry, but if you're going to continue going to bars to meet guys, that's the risk you take.

I know, I wasn't out to meet a guy at all, I was out with my biking buddies. I never have anything to do with guys from bars, and I wouldn't have this time either if he wasn't a friend of the girl I knew. I'm just so frustrated. And the last time I saw him, I already had plans with the girls, which is why he came out to the bar to meet us. I just hope I never run into him again because I'd probably kick him where it hurts I know it's my fault too for going home with him that night. Live and learn I guess... I don't even know what made me do that in the first place.

Yes, Lindsey..no more going home with them. You are worth so much more than you're realizing. Make them want you for the kind person you are and then make them wait even longer...lol Keep that mystery alive. There was this guy on Oprah just Friday talking about this subject and he was really, I thought, right on the money. Not sure if there is anything on her web-site but you might check it out. He was saying what guys really want in a girl, that they can tell most of the time what is fake and will just run with it.

I'm usually such a strong person. I never do that, and I don't know what was going on. I told him on the way home "If you think you're taking me home because I'm going to sleep with you, you're wrong. And you better still call me even though you're not getting anything" and he laughed and said "Of course I don't expect you to sleep with me" I remember that CLEARLY. An hour after that I don't remember anything. I don't know, maybe all the alcohol hit me later... I'm usually in control, I don't know what I was thinking. I can't keep dwelling on it though, i've been beating myself up all day and I really feel like dirt. Well, I've been upset about it since Thursday morning, but finding out he has a girlfriend made it 10 times worse.
His best friend was with the girl I went to the party with. I just found out that his best friend is still dating a girl he's been with for a long time, but they're long-distance right now. So basically it's just a big group of cheaters. I told the other girl not to bother calling him anymore, and don't answer if he calls. I think I"m just going to surround myself with girl friends for a long long long time.

I agree with janet. No going home with any guy, Lindsey, apart from you being better then that, it can be dangerous! We hear too many weird things, its just not safe.

I know, and that's what I always preach to my friends.
