Wooooooohhooooooooo!
Our money came in today to get the survey done on our land!
Now we can settle the dispute with our nasty neighbor once and for all and put a nice stout fence up to keep them away from us. I'm just tickled to see an end in sight! We're trying to decide on a fence material and type that won't cost an arm and a leg because we'd like to fence in the whole lot, but we need it to be something that will keep the neighbors out and Moses in. Any suggestions? If we go with chain link or steel mesh, I plan to cover it in vines... preferably with sharp thorns to discourage anyone touching it. LOL

That's exciting Tink! I remember how frustrating that situation was for you. I'm glad things are finally being resolved.

Good for you Tink!!! I'd be careful of the vines though, they have a way of destroying fencing, even chain link. I personally don't want another chainlink. We just took ours down. Maybe a privacy fence?

Janet, that's our next big decision. What kind of fence to go with?
Cost of course will be a consideration, as we're doing this out of pocket. We absolutely need to put up something that blocks the view on the one side, and would like to be able to give Moses free run of the yard without allowing him to get out of it besides. The border to the side we want to block off is nearly 200' long, so it's not going to be cheap regardless of how we do it. We have no way of getting a firm bid on the survey until it's done either, so I'm told. We may have to wait to fence in the rest of the yard, or we might be able to do something different on the other sides than on the one that's most important. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, as we've never had to put up a fence other than to keep our horses in. Then we used a 6 strand electric fence because we had a Jumper. Dh would like to electrify this new fence too. LOL
