The ways men DON'T think.
I just got off of the phone with my bf who's at work right now. Do you know what he said to me? He said "what are you doing?"
me-immigration stuff him-"oh...well why don't you go to the gym and work out" me-ummmm, okaay him-"I've started working out again" "I've gotta go!" Okay, now I feel like my bf thinks I'm a whale. I already struggle with my appearance, and have been feeling extra fat this week, and now this. I don't think he meant anything by it cause men just don't think about what they say sometimes, but how else am I supposed to feel, beside gross and horrible! Well, I'm going to the damn gym now. Thanks for listening.

Aww, Hannah! I'm so sorry that conversation made you feel bad. He was probably just thinking about going to the gym himself because it might be something he enjoys, and wanted to give you the opportunity as well. The thought probably never crossed his mind that you might be hurt or offended by what he said. Sometimes guys just aren't thinking about the same things that we women think about.
I hope he does something super special in the very near future to make you feel like the wonderful person you are and to show you that he loves you.

Hope you feeling better today

Men don't communicate on the same level as we do. We're very emotional and are always trying to read things into what men say. He probably just wants you to enjoy going to the gym with him so you can share that time together.

Men usually don't think and then sometimes they know that's what we'll think..did that make sense?...LOL
I've been feeling like a whale lately and if anyone was to say something to me now it would probably be the last thing they did...pity party for me!!

Yeah, I'm hoping he didn't mean it like that. I just had to vent about it cause it hurt my feelings, and made me feel super crappy! He's usually the sweetest thing since ice cream and wouldn't intentionally hurt my feelings. I just don't get why men are so.......why they don't think sometimes. Last summer after my sister got home from college, but dad told her she had put on weight. He thought she looked beautiful, but when he blurted out, "You've gained weight haven't you", she got the wronge impression. OPPS! They are a different breed. Oh, ya know maybe this is a question for Mr. Man. I haven't seen him around recently!
Anyways, thanks for listening!

We always translate things they say, which usually has absolutely nothing to do with what they meant. Men are very simple creatures - they're hot they're cold, hungry, horny, happy, or sleeping as far as I can see. They have a few more feelings, but
not like we do. (This is not man bashing - I love the way men are). I'm sorry you feel like a whale though. Having just finished an entire dark chocolate bar, I can understand! It's just not a good feeling. I hope you resolve it soon - and me too.

He's a sweetie! Besides those feelings, he also loves you.
