8 hours in the ER yesterday...
I was in a lot of pain yesterday, which has been normal for me lately, but because I was with my whole family at my grandfather's house they forced me to go to the ER. I was there for eight hours for them to tell me that it could be an inflamed ovary and a bacterial infection (too much harmful bacteria and not enough "good" bacteria). They had to take my blood through an IV five times and they gave me tons of medications that made me very funny (so I'm told). They at least ruled out a mass or cyst after a CT scan, so that's good, but I sure hope this medication I'm on helps because all it's doing right now is making me feel even worse than I did before. I'm incredibly nauseous all the time. I won't go into details, but I had a rough night last night. This is the first time I've felt like being out of bed...I even had to miss my grandfather's funeral today...
Please pray that this will go away...

Angie, you rest and take it easy. I am so sorry to hear about your grandfathers passing. My prayers are with you and your family. I have not been online that much and last I read I thought that your grandpa was doing better. Once again my condolences to you and your family.

Oh my gosh Angie. I had no idea you were having some problems. I hope you go to your regular Dr. and tell him of your ordeal at the ER and let him to some follow up testing. We just can't take chances with our health.
I hope you get to feeling better real soon and please keep us informed.

Thanks everyone! Janet, I have not had a regular doctor because we don't have medical insurance, but the ER doctor Marci was incredibly nice and she is referring me to a free clinic for my follow up appointments. She says she knows the doctors there and that they're very good. My hubby and I usually just go to the clinic at our college because they don't charge for the visit and give medications at a great price (sometimes free), but we can't go there during the summer semester if we aren't enrolled. Anyway, I think I am starting to get used to the medicine, at least a little. I haven't been feeling nearly as nauseous and I slept pretty well last night. So hopefully it'll all go away soon...

Dear Angie,
I'm so sorry you're sick. I hope the clinic works out and you get all the testing done that you need. Take care of yourself, and remember how much we all care about you.

Thanks for all of the get well wishes everyone. It means a lot to me. And yes, I will do all of the follow-ups and make sure that everything is alright, my family has made that perfectly clear, lol. There are still lots of tests to run if this medication doesn't work (since they are only guessing as to what the problem is). I think what I hate most right now is the nausea and the bruises on my arms from the IV's. It hurts almost every time I move. On the bright side, I didn't go in to work today and they told me to stay home tomorrow as well until I feel better and get used to the medication.

Thank you Cecil.
I am feeling a little better today than I have been. My dear friend Ashley and her boyfriend Aaron just stopped by to bring Brendon and me a card and it made my night. I think it's times like these that really show you who your true friends are...and I am blessed. Aaron's father passed away two years ago this Thursday and so he's having a bit of a rough time as well and we're all going to spend the day together tomorrow and again on Thursday, assuming I'm still feeling alright. Brendon is off tomorrow as well so I won't be so lonely and I'll have someone to help fix food and such. I'm looking forward to a better day... Again, thank you all for your concern and sweet comments.

Glad to hear that you're feeling better. You know that with everything your family's been going through we've been concerned. Just take care of yourself. You're a very special girl.

Angie you didn't completely miss the everything. I know how much it would have meant to Papaw that in as much pain as you were in that you refused to stay in bed but had to come see him before the funeral. You know he would have told you to stay home. It seems many of the family tried to tell you to, but I understood that you really wanted to be there. I hope you are feeling better today. I haven't called because I don't want to wake you if you are sleeping but know I am worried & thinking about you.
