Moody teenager...HELP!!!!!!!
I need help, fast! My teenage daughter Chloe is so moody and difficult. Whatever I say, she disagrees with. She got mad at me today because she wanted to sleepover her boyfriends house and thats a definate no. She thinks she should be able to do whatever her friends do. I tell her your not your friends. She rolls her eyes. I don't recall being that moody and mom agrees with me that I was a pretty good teenager but Chloe, ugh! I need some advice! I don't understand why she is this moody all the time....

You live close to a couple of the allergists who are specialists in how what we eat, drink and breath alters mood. Get the book Is This Your Child? by Dr Doris Rapp from the library and if the kids in the book are like Chloe, go see one of these guys.

A LOT of teenagers go through these phases, mom's know nothing, whatever mom's say/do is wrong.
The problem is, they neither grown up, nor are they little kids anymore, they struggle with raging hormones, and are trying to develop their "own self" Just stay yourself, and do what you normally do, try to ignore the "rolling eyes" and her mood swings, dont even talk about them in her company. Whatever you do, stay firm, and let her know, you are in charge, she is living under your roof. I know it's challenging, i have a 16 year old son. They think they grown up, and know everything, when deep down, they still want to be "mothered" Good luck, it will pass.

I have never seen a child or mom or dad who didn't respond well to this testing and treatment. It is so amazing to see the emotional garbage disappear and the loving person who you once knew come back to reside in your home!
Even Nebraska has one of these specialists: William Alan Ingram, M.D. (Member) 981225 Nebraska Medical Center Omaha, NE 68198 Tel: (402) 778-5480 Specialties: Otolaryngology, Otolaryngic Allergy Certifications: Otolaryngology Basic Diagnostic Techniques: * (I): SET (IDT), P/N Foods. |

I personally don't think one needs to run their kids off to a doctor every time they misbehave. She's a teenager...if you think you're feeling crazy...can you imagine what your daughter is feeling???
I hate to admit it...but I was a terror and my poor mom had her hands full. Don't smother her, but do more mother/daughter things, nothing special, just spend quality time together...it will work and she will get better. It always nice to remember they'll grow out of it...lol

No - not every time - but if there is a pattern, or if the behavior doesn't fit the situation, it makes sense. Teens don't have to be moody - it's not a given at all, IMHO. I was a "moody" teen myself and now know that most of that was allergic reactions - I would have much rather been in control of my emotions, had more choices. My son, who has the immune system support, is not moody. If he is ever on edge it is fatigue or an allergic reaction, that's it. Our friend's whose kids - boy or girl - have this support have a minimum of teen moods, too.

Also wanted to say that I have been researching this area for over 18 years, am director of a support group of folks with these issues, and have counseled dozens of families on this approach to building strong immune systems. So when I speak about it, I am talking from years of experience, working with many people and with MDs, psychologists, and alternative health specialists.

Chloe ugh!
You are right, most teenagers go thru these mood swings I think par of it has to do with her "you know what" if you know what I'm talking about....it's always been a problem.

These specialists have vaccines for hormones - amazing impact on the mood swings tied to monthly cycles.
