Arrow Name my baby!!!!!!

DH and I are just STUCK. I know we have a long way to go but this is just really hard. I always wanted to name my son Matthew James. Not sure why...just always have. Then I met my husband and he said he liked the name James Matthew for a boy. so it seemed ideal..we were on the same page. and he agreed that Matthew James sounded better. BUT...that is his brothers name! at first I thought...who cares??? but now that I am actually pregnant, the name just isn't appealing to me for some reason. Isn't that weird????

So, we are looking for baby names. I have a feeling this will be a boy..but I could be wrong

So far the only boy name we have agreed on is Carter James (James is DH's name...and his fathers). But neither of us are stuck on it. And the only girl name we can agree on is Madison Olivia (Olivia after my grandmother...so any girl name needs to flow with that as a middle name.)

any suggestions?? we need girl and boy names. and I like names that are not on the list of most popular names in 1910. so the John, David, Michael, Sarah, Rachel, Karen names aren't what I'm going for no offense meant to anyone with those names...

My daughters name is Trinity. If that gives you any idea of what kind of names I like

Thanks for your ideas

Madison Olivia is lovely. I love the name Olivia - How about Olivia Rose, Olivia Eve,
Ava Rose, Eva Rose, Olivia Grace, Sophia Rose, Sophia Grace, I could go on and on.

What about James Matthew? I think James is a fine name - Jimmy or Jim when they're young, and then James as they get older. I love the name Christian for a boy. Chris is a great nickname too.

I'm going to have to think on this one! I have a nephew named Tanner James. That would go well with Trinity. As for Olivia.....hmmmmm.

my husbands name is James and we call him Jim. it drives me NUTS because I love the name James but it seems that they are almost always called Jim and I personally can't stand that name. In fact, when dh and I were "set up" for our first date, I almost didn't go cuz I didn't like his name LOL now...if they had told me his name was James, I would have liked that hehe...he laughs about that with me

it's also funny that you throw the name "Rose" in there cuz I wanted Olivia Rose. Olivia after my granny and Rose after his mom, who passed away when he was 16. but he doesn't like either name. he's so stubborn! I told him that if we can't agree, I will just fill the paperwork out without him and he'll just have to learn to like it LOL

Thanks!! I love thinking up names. My mother's name was Audra. I didn't get to know my grandmother, but heard she was a very proud woman. So now, that is what that name means to me.

I use to, just for fun, would look up names on the internet and then try different ways to spell them or change them just a little to what I would like.

I have some very creative friends...one of them took the first part of daddy's name (James) and the last part of her name (Ashley) and came up with their daughters name, Jaley

I thought that was neat. now I am NOT that creative

We had our boy's name picked out early and never got to use it. Both our children are girls, which is actually wonderful, but anyway, our boy's name was Kevin Christopher. You said you like the name Christian. Christopher is a derivation of Christian. Melissa's fiance's name is Garrett Christopher, that's nice, too. I also liked the name Caleb.

We did not have girls names picked out at all. Our oldest, Karen Elizabeth, was 4 days old when we finally named her. They wouldn't let us leave the hospital until she was named. My mother was having a fit!!! Karen was her first grandchild and everyone was asking what we had named her.

We named Melissa Anne the afternoon after she was born. We had our list but could not decide. There were just too many pretty girls names. Lauren was on our list also and Anne is my middle name. Had to pass it on.

Madison Olivia is lovely!!!! What fun picking names, but it's also a huge responsibility.

You'll have to keep posting what ones you like so we can all keep thinking up variations or new ones. This is fun.

Toodles - what's your first name? Maybe we can think of a "creative name" too.

I like Tanner, Jaiden, Reese, Matthew, Jackson, and a million more.

Elizabeth is a wonderful name for a girl, and Anne is such a beautiful name.

There are some cute names out here too: Lucy, Ruby, Jada, and , of course, the ever popular Apple. Violet is nice.

This is fun Janet!
