The Presidential Election

It looks like it's going to be a McCain vs Hillary election. I don't think Obama will make it, although I like him. It would be interesting if he and Hillary paired up as President and Vice President, but they've been slamming each other too much.

I don't see Mitt Romney winning either. He's not as well known as McCain.

The media in NY is really making so much fun of Giuliani! His "win Florida and forget the rest" strategy wasn't even close to sane.

I would say it's going to be a very boring election.

Quite seriously I cringe to think of the Clintons representing us again. They were an absolute embarrassment last time. How anyone could vote for her is beyond my understanding.

The woman gives me the creeps.

I never get into political discussions, don't know why I'm posting this. 99.9% of the time, I'm on the other side of the fence from others. Don't want Hillary, but definitely don't want Obama either. I don't take elections lightly..I study, read and watch for as much information as I can get. Thought about crossing lines, but McCain is such a ...well it doesn't help to call names. So....like I said earlier...it's going to be a very scary future.

I agree with you, Tink! I have one ruled out and I don't have any idea on the others.

I'm still registered up in Wisconsin, by the time I thought about it it was too late to register here for the primary. This is the first time since I was 21 that I won't be voting in the primary I am so bummed out about this. I was gonna write Stephan Colbert from Comedy Central in as my candidate of choice

Yes! I would be a good president - put a quick end to all this nonsense and have a good time doing it!

When I was a teacher, my kids always wanted me to become a principal. We would laugh because they knew if it was a nice warm day, I'd call off classes and have a field trip right to the beach.

Honestly, I don't see that much difference on the issues between Hillary and McCain.

My problem with Hillary is not with the issues. It was all the things that went on in the White House when her husband was there. You know that if she's president that her husband will be going with her and there'll only be more chaos.

Politicians always confused me. Why anyone would want that life is not something I can connect to. You're in the public eye, have a need for power, lie a lot, etc. and I just don't get it.

I'm sure there are many politicians who sincerely want to make this country the best it can be, but we really don't hear about the good things. The media feeds us only the bad.

I would be a good President though. We all know what's right and what's wrong,
it's the gray areas we have trouble with. That's where compromise is needed, and where we don't seem to be able to do that.

There's an awful email going around about him being a radical Muslim - kind of trying to tie him to the terrorist factions in the Muslim religion. If you Snope it, of course it's lies. How foolish some people are.

Yup, I noticed that the email was complete lies. Sad... They aired a huge story about it on Fox as well, none of which was true. (CNN later ran a story showing all of the lies.)

I guess that's to be expected in politics though.

I have gotten that same email several times. I always copy the page from Snopes onto it and send it back to the people I got it from. WHY don't people check those things out?!?
