I think it said for 18 or older. Not sure how they would know for sure...I would be interested in knowing that too?

When you first sign up you have to put your birthday. So I guess anyone underage could just make up a different Bday....HUmmm, but it's not like they can do a drive license check here....

yes most def. Humm, can you make your own account on the PC and put a password lock on it? Or maybe more of a hassle, but you could clear the WWW history every time after being on here.

I think admin can do that, but what I was saying is that you can clear the history in your computer so she can't go back and just look at what you were looking at (which is how im assuming she found YT etc.)
Let me switch computers really fast so I can walk you through it. You're on Windows im assuming? BRB in 2 secs

Okay so go to Tools then Internet Options then under the General tab you should see history. In that box there should be a little button that says Clear History. Vuuwaaallllaa! Now your step child can't see what you've been doing! Let me know how it works

I've thought about that too - I mean, all they have to do is put in a birth year that gives the appearance they are 18 or older and they are in. There are no "fool proof" methods on the internet, unfortunately!! I hate to say it, cause you've put a lot into it, but why not create a new user name - one she won't recognize. Of course, then you'd have to let us know your new name and if she does get in, she could catch on to that. Hopefully, when she has to enter in a birthday and she enters her own, it'll "kick" her out and she won't try again.

4WomenTalk follows the established rules of the Internet and trusts the user to be truthful and honest in their age when filling out the age questionnaire. We require members be 18 years or older. Unless we start asking for photocopies of IDs which would be a hassle for everyone not to mention loss of privacy, there is not much else we can do to verify age. Even that is not fool-proof because we still could not verify their identity. One of the few ways to establish proof of identity may be to accept a payment, but we have always had the goal of keeping 4WomenTalk a free community for women, so we are against that idea.

Please note that we do not delete threads of posts here at 4WomenTalk (unless it is an extreme circumstance, it breaks 4WT rules, or we are required by law). Please note that anything you say or write or share may be viewed by not just 4WT members, but by anyone viewing our site. We are also not responsible for any posts or pictures that may be posted by other members as members are responsible for their own posts and it is impossible for us to monitor each and every message in real time. We rely on members to report bad posts or inform us of any potential problematic posts.

We do not allow username changes, but if you want a new username, you may set up a new account and we will disable your current 4WT account. A member may only do this ONE TIME. We allow one username per household unless cleared in advance and we only allow one membership per person.

We hope this answers your questions.

Maybe you can close this account and open another one with a new username?
