Update On Kat!!

Just thought I'd let you all know that Kat's surgery went just fine. She was out of ICU last night and into a private room.

Hello All.....this is one of the kittens! Kat is doing great. We are not sleeping there with her tonight, she absolutely needs her sleep. She is resting in peace without my baby whining....my sister and I are up eating yummy food and laughing a TON and relieved at her progress.

She is really looking forward to coming home. Unfortunate news though, my sister took her laptop in (small accident with the dogs and the puter) and it is out of commission for a bit (til Christmas). She is not quite aware of this fact yet.

We are looking forward to a fast recovery, she is eating and smiling and hopefully on her way home. We have a couple errands to run in the morning and then we will be heading to the hospital.

Thank you for your prayers and support. I know that she will appreciate it.

I guess she had a pretty bad day today, but is doing better.

This is part of a message sent to me this afternoon:

Her blood pressure has been really low (she usually has really high blood pressure), and she's been in a lot of pain today. They finally gave her pain meds, so that's better, and they're monitoring her blood pressure and oxygen levels because that's low too. It's not unusual. Anyway, she was feeling much better and had eaten a big dinner. The girls were there with her, so she was feeling better because of that too!

If they can get her blood pressure and oxygen levels regulated, she'll be home the first part of the week. They were going to start PT with her today, but she just didn't feel like it. But, the doctor said that when she gets home, she can start walking, up to 3 blocks. Before she couldn't do nearly that. The surgery was a HUGE success. The circulation in the leg is way, way better!!! YAY!

I didn't know either that she was going back. Give her my love to she is in my prayers for a speedy recovery.. I am sure she is flirting with the male nurses and doctors that Kat.. lol good for her!
