Or I'll be at the very end of a movie and he'll sit down and want me to explain the whole movie for him. Why, so he can follow the last 5 minutes of it?

ha! what gets me is my dear hubby at times..ok alot of times does this annoying thing like he didn't hear or understand what I said then out of nowhere he answers my question anyways... I'll say something like " was that a blue shirt?" and he will say... "huh" and then 1/2 a second later answer me ... "yes it was a blue.." WHAT THE HECK!

OMG can I SOO relate!

I will be in the kitchen making a meal... in walks hubby... who is hard of hearing, with dd on his heals. She will start telling us some story and hubby is getting coffee, pouring milk into it, etc. Finally hubby will turn to me and ask IN MID STORY "What is she talking about?" My response is "ASK HER!"
He seems to think my voice is the only one he can hear. I think if he'd pay attention rather than doning out, she wouldn't have to repeat herself. ARGGGG

or

Hubby will spread his paperwork out on the kitchen table, insist on quiet so he can concentrate to do it... then leave half of if laying there. So naturally after he leaves (drives off in his semi for several days on the road) we need the table and his paperwork gets put away. So at the end of the week he comes home and gets all riled up because it's not on the table where he left it! HE won't have used the table for 5-6 days, so seems to think we won't either! "

Where is it? Why was it moved? Do we do this just to drive him insane?" Sadly it's the same thing every week!

Sounds like you have your hands full. lol.

Haha, people ask me about if I think my yorkie is hot in shirts too. Agh.

Janet 04-30-2007 09:12 AM

How about this one....do your husbands tell you everything they are going to do? This drives me up a freaking wall!!! I am busy all day and part of the evening with chores or things that I just want done, but I don't annouce it everytime I do something. My hubby will say "well, I'm going to go change the oil in the van", then later will say, "I'm going to go burn up some of that trash."

If I announced everything I did around here, I'd never get anything done! It's like he wants recognition or something, but no one ever acknowledges what I do, unless it's something that didn't get done like laundry...LOL MEN, YA CAN'T LIVE WITH THEM AND YA CAN'T SHOOT 'EM!!!! LOL

Tink 04-30-2007 11:41 AM

Janet, that sounds so familiar. LOL
And to make it even MORE annoying, hubby has to show me the bucket of dirty water after he's mopped a floor... or the paper towel after he cleaned the car windows. I have to see the amount of grime removed! Like he got off WAY more dirt than anyone else in recorded history would have been capable of. LOL

Oh Tink, you have your hands full! Might be an idea to give him hes personal "paper work box" that he can keep for all hes things, that way its all in place, and no one will touch it.

Yup, men  they will never "get it"

My husband can ask some very annoying questions too! Like I can say "the ______ isn't working". He'll say "what do you mean it's not working?" That one annoys me more than anything!

AngieDoogles 05-01-2007 06:16 PM

I think the thing that annoys me most about my husband is just when he says "huh" or "what" and I have to repeat something when in my opinion he "should have" heard me the first time. lol. It's minor but can be frustrating sometimes.

goofywife 05-01-2007 07:08 PM

I have a new one today. How about this "we were both watching the news about the hydrogen cars. They were talking about how if releases only a little water into the air.

After it was over, he proceeded to tell me all about the benefits of the hydrogen car, like I did just watch the same thing he did????

What's up with that!

Passionfruition 05-01-2007 07:49 PM

Ha! My husband would get the biggest laugh out of reading this thread....he knows guys are like this. LOL.

It's like when we went out to dinner and I wore a new pair of heels and the heel on my right sandal broke off....and I was of course upset. Hubby said he didn't know what the problem was, why couldn't I just break off the other heel and keep wearing them?

(I think I posted about this already though....it's pretty much the dumbest thing he's ever said so matter of fact-ly. to. date.) :p But, I love him.
