you'll be fine molly. its not really painful

Thanks for the video about threading. I'd never heard of it before. There were a lot of comments about how it's less painful than waxing. I wish that there was someone around here that did it. I'd go and try it out.

Good job, Judy!!! I saw a yellow crookneck squash and some slingshots!!!!!

I tweeze my eyebrows never had them waxed before. The woman where I get my nails done she does the threading looks interesting. I spoke to one of the ladies who had it done and said the first time it hurt... HUMMMM trust me after having implants screwed into my bone, waxing looks like nothing .. LOL

They ended up turning out really nice! I'll definitely do it again.

How was the discomfort?

MollyDolly 03-09-2008 05:37 PM

Not as bad as I was expecting.
I was really red and swollen and sore though until the next day.

Good tip, lol
So it shouldn't be done a day before a wedding or vacation? lol

I tried waxing and it left me with red marks on my face for a good 2 weeks, so I tried threading, which did the same thing. I actually thought the threading was more painful and what made it worse was you could hear the hairs being pulled out. I was so almost in tears!

I wax my eyebrows, armpits, legs, & private area. The armpits hurt the worse, except for the time I got the brazilian....yowza. The eyebrows are nothing, my hairstylist does them every 5 weeks. My hairstylist rubs some soothing makeup looking thing on my eyebrows after & it helps with the pain & redness. My other area waxer also recommends bikinizone (i think this is what it's called) it's a pain relieving cream that helps with bumps & irritation, but I have no idea if it's safe for your face.

I have the medicated cream, but the pads look cool.

I get mine threaded, I've gotten them waxed but prefer threading, seems the hair doesn't come back for a longer period of time.
