Janet, it is all hardwood - it's just that we put down the wood in the living room 7 years ago, and then when we went to put it in the two bedrooms, the company had gone out of business, so we had to match the living room wood with wood from another company. It didn't take too much looking though, I was surprised that it didn't take us forever to find a good match.

I have heard that the wood look linoleum is really nice - I've heard it from several people, but I've never looked at it. That would be the ticket I think, with all our doggies!

I have wood floors in my kitchen/dining area, but what I really want is linoleum that looks like slate. I have seen some that looks so good I had to touch it to tell the difference. It would be SO easy to care for, and I'm basically a lazy person:p

Home depot has them. They aren't cheap, but you can't tell that they are vinyl!

It's true..you can't tell that it is vinyl unless you reach down and touch it. We have it in the new camper. I love it! It is very easy to take care of especially having these furkids:rolleyes: You know how that can be.

I haven't heard of that either. I'll have to look the next time I go to Lowe's!!

I want the kind that is installed in a sheet, not the individual tiles. There are few seams and it looks REAL!

Back in December I moved into an office in the new wing of our school. Just today, after you all were talking about the vinyl that looked like slate, I realized that the flooring in the reception area was slate. But WAIT! I thought, "I wonder if this is really slate", so I reached down and touched it and I'LL BE DARNED, it was VINYL!

Thanks Bets!!! I had never seen it before either. It really does look exactly like slate. Everybody that comes in the camper comments on it. They think it's slate and I say..........feel of it and they just can't believe it!
